Speedy deletion of Ashly Covington[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ashly Covington requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Nancy73 - you seem to be having some trouble with the Ashly Covington article; may I be of assistance? Sarcasticidealist (talk) 00:14, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Yes! I'd appreciate any help you have to offer. I know I'm new at the contribution side, but I thought I'd at least get a decent article up before it was summarily deleted. :)

I think part of the problem (and I'm not the one who deleted your article) is that your use of Wiki markup was a little bit iffy. I'll recreate the article in a form in which I think it's likely to survive an attempt at speedy deletion, and we can collaborate on the article's talk page to try to expand it.
One thing I have to emphasize, though: I can't promise you that the article won't be deleted again. Articles on Wikipedia all have to demonstrate that their subject is notable, and some editors likely feel that hand models - even very successful ones - are non-notable. I'll try to discourage people from deleting it, but that's all I can do. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 01:27, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I really appreciate the help you've given. I've got some citation links, but am unsure how to put them in the article correctly. You've been a great help already, and I just wanted to re-iterate that I really appreciate it.Nancy73 (talk) 01:53, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
