Hello NapoleonIII, and welcome to Wikipedia! The first thing you should know is that we encourage you to be bold. Feel free to edit and improve articles, by clicking any 'edit' link.

If you'd like to test what Wikipedia can do, check out the sandbox - just type and save the page and your text will appear. That's the beauty of a Wiki.

For more information check out our tutorial - it's designed with newcomers in mind, as is the help section. If you'd like to get involved with current projects, have a look at the Community Portal. There are always tasks for users to do, ranging from copyediting to expanding stubs.

I hope you'll enjoy your time here, but be warned, it can become addictive! Feel free to message me, I'm more than happy to help. As an added tip, sign any message you post so users know that you've said it. To do so is delightfully simple, just use the wikicode ~~~~.

Once again, welcome!

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.

re:vandalism[edit]

I didn't accuse you of vandalism, I merely sent a welcome message. However, you have been vandalising or modifying articles in suspicious ways:

The message was in fact from User:Deglr6328, and you can talk to him here.

Hope that helps. James Kendall [talk] 22:23, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please, do not take out your problems with me. I did not revert your work or warn you. I just suggested what they meant. Those that reverted the edits did note the problem as vandalism, however. James Kendall [talk] 22:58, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Deglr6328 22:46, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stalin[edit]

Source given. If you want to dispute the statements in the source, you must give your own sources, not simply state you opinion. Ultramarine 17:05, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the Stalin talk page and you will see that "Ultramarine" has been trying to push his POW for some time but failed and now he is back (Deng 21:40, 13 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]
I made some edits, this is the problem with wiki. Any person can change anything. by removeing a line here adding a number there changeing some info there one can change a whole article and only those who have detailed information can see what has happened. By the way I altered your first page (Deng 04:33, 18 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]
Also I brought in Mikkalai, because he knows alot about the subject and his edits are often very good. So if you can try and pick your fights and dont fight everyone because you will very quickly drain yourself and that would hurt wiki. We can both see that Ultramarine removes alot of information and even sometimes removes the source and says source needed and then removes it all togheter. (Deng 04:37, 18 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Hi there. I see that you edit Russia-related topics. Come check Portal:Russia/New article announcements and Portal:Russia/Russia-related Wikipedia notice board. You may even want to add these boards to your watchlist. Cheers, Ghirla -трёп- 11:09, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll take a look. (NapoleonIII 06:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

How to make a reference[edit]

This is how you make a reference.

Just do this type <ref> What ever the ref is </ref>
AND at the end of the page make sure that there is Notes/References/what ever Head line and that inside that subject you will see this <references/>

Now what ever you write in to the What ever the ref is it will appear at the bottom of the page where the notes/references/what ever catagory is and will have a number next to it that is the same number that your ref will have when you save the page.

If you are looking at this as differences then you will see alot of crap all of that is there so that you can see what exactly to type when looking at your talk page in a normal version and not through version history. And if all things fail just ask me or read more here http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cite/Cite.php (Deng 22:10, 21 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Thanks for the info. (NapoleonIII 22:19, 22 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]
