If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joe MasterCARD requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Help me![edit]

Please help me deleting a profile that I started. I was trying to start a new page for my CEO.

NatalieRoss (talk) 15:37, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@NatalieRoss:, I assume you mean the article on Deborah Wright? From what I can see, she passes the requirements we have on notability and probably deserves an article here. We generally don't delete articles just because the original author has requested it unless they are in your user space, which this is not. Once you post an article to Wikipedia, you have granted a license to the site's owners to use your text and are no longer the owner of it. We do certainly delete articles under certain circumstances, but there needs to be some reason other than "I would like it gone." If you continue to think this article should be removed, you can ask for a discussion on why it should be deleted. You can also ask for speedy deletion if you think it meets any of those criteria. I hope this helps. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 16:20, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

I don't want to delete Deborah Wright's page. I was trying to start a new page and couldn't figure out how to do it so I started a draft under a pretend name because I didn't want my CEO's page to be on Wikipedia without any information. I'm sorry but please delete the page for Joe MasterCard as it was a draft make up page. Thank you. Natalie

NatalieRoss (talk) 16:54, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you look above, you'll see that Joe MasterCARD was already deleted by RickinBaltimore a little while ago. I should, however, let you know about the Conflict of Interest Policy which applies to you when addressing these articles. Thanks. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 16:58, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Michael T. Pugh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bloomberg (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Michael T. Pugh has been un-accepted[edit]

I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:37, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

Hello NatalieRoss. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:NatalieRoss. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=NatalieRoss|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Praxidicae (talk) 20:10, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, NatalieRoss. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Michael T. Pugh and Carver Bancorp, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 20:03, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! You were asked here on this page on 31 January 2020 to make proper disclosure of your paid-editor status before making any other edit, but you apparently chose not to do so. Disclosure is obligatory, not optional. Please make appropriate disclosure before editing any other page (if you don't know how to do it, you may ask here). You risk suspension of your editing privileges without further warning if you do not comply with this policy requirement. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:56, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Michael T. Pugh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

WP:G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion, WP:UPE in violation of the WP:TOU

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
