Was it necessary to completely remove my poorly entered "Symbols that Seem Similar"? The thurizas rune is "similar" to the same ringed rod symbol used in the Burney Relief from Wikipedia and FYI: The god Shamash is Saturn's Thegn or placeholder...hence the ringed rod/thorn.

Digitext2006@yahoo.com

As you point out, it was poorly entered. Had that been the only problem I'd have fixed up the formatting. However, without some citation to back up the claims it looks like the connection made was original research. I've also not seen a "Things that look a bit like something in this photo" section on any page before. The "rod and ring" symbol looks a bit like a snail, but that doesn't mean it's worth adding a link to it. If there is a link, cite a credible source, explain the significance, and that'll be fine. Even better, start a new page for the rod and ring thing :) Natritmeyer (talk) 17:08, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I didn't completely purge the info, mention of the rod-and-ring is still in the text: <<The God is depicted in a seated position, wearing a horned headdress, holding the rod-and-ring symbol in his right hand.>> Natritmeyer (talk) 17:10, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
