Hot Action Cop's Nutbag EP

Hi, I was going to create a page for the band Hot Action Cop's first EP "Nutbag" and noticed that you had previously deleted the page (5 years ago). Why, and can it be restored because this album *does* exist? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nutbag_EP&action=edit&redlink=1 Madcreator12 (talk) 20:33, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Can I restore the old page to use information the other user had previously posted (if it is legitimate)? Madcreator12 (talk) 20:42, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

900sclub

Hello, this is BlueClark, a member of Wikipedia. You have recently deleted my work on the "900sclub" article. We are a Youtube account and I decided to put it on Wikipedia. Why did you delete it? It is a legitimate thing. BlueClark (talk) 21:48, 18 February 2012 (UTC)BlueClark[reply]

  • Because the article did not indicate that this website was notable per our guidelines at WP:WEB, as shown by reliable independent sources per WP:V. We probably delete 20 articles a day that are "Me and a bunch of friends made a Youtube channel." NawlinWiki (talk) 21:51, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For reference, I don't think it was that guy. The IP's didn't check out, and the Montagna vandalism was subtle. I've seen a bit of similar stuff on the Capone article, but there's no reason to assume it's him. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 22:46, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks! There *is* a method to why I did that, though. This is not the first IP hopper we've had to manage (although it does seem to be the most full of itself). NawlinWiki (talk) 22:53, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Elara

I don't understand why the Elara Foodservice Disposables entry was deleted. It is a social enterprise and I would like to add it to the list of social enterprises. Jimhill1973 (talk) 20:18, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Because the page was purely promotional/advertising. "reliable, high-quality and professional-strength" - "manufactured to the most stringent food-safety standards", etc. Also, it didn't show that this company was notable per our standards at WP:CORP, as established by reliable independent sources per WP:V. Casker

Hello, this is my first page creation so I may have been breaking a zillion laws. A page exists for Casker ko:캐스커 in the Korean Wikipedia and I thought it would be good for the English speaking Wikipedians to have the same information, if I can get it to the same level (citing sources etc) will it be eligible not to be deleted? I realise my first edit lacked a lot of the details required for being notable but I wanted to add these as I go along (or is it possible to save a page while it is in the works?). Thanks. HI NawlinWiki. While exploring stuff around Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Mongeese/Today I Caught the Plague, I see that you recently restored Today I Caught the Plague. Perhaps you may like to comment at the MfD. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 14:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

<faceplant> Thanks, guys. NawlinWiki (talk) 12:38, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NawlinWiki: I clearly made a mistake yesterday while trying to update information to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Martin_Agency, which had already been in place for some time. I didn't have much experience with Wikipedia prior to this addition and was under the impression that Wikipedia was more newbie user-friendly than it is and was not aware of the specific protocols in place. After much reading and corresponding with Orangemike, I know understand why such protocols exist and respect those reasons. My problem is this: The page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Martin_Agency was speedily deleted upon my additions (which were still being edited and cited while it was speedily deleted) and I don't feel that I had a fair chance to explain my situation. Orangemike has clearly described how I violated the editing process and I know understand my error, however the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Martin_Agency is no longer valid as it stood and has may error/deletion messages on it. I am trying to have this page restored as it was prior to my edits. The page did have some notable information/references and had obviously been vetted before I came along. Orangemike has been kind enough to give me a user page to rework the editing that I had added and make it more in line with Wikipedia's protocols. I will be sure to work with other editors to make this information more pertinent, credible and notable in the future. I don't think the other editors of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Martin_Agency should be penalized because of my mistake. Please advise. Thanks you Tracifl (talk) 13:57, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't see any previous history to The Martin Agency before you created the page yesterday. Regardless, when you have finished working on the page in your userspace, and if it shows that the company is notable per WP:CORP, as established by reliable independent sources per WP:V, it can be moved back to mainspace at The Martin Agency. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:29, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Thank you. I am going to work on getting notable information with credible sources as per your criteria. Thank you for your assistance. Tracifl (talk) 14:32, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Please give me feedback on whether or not this page has been done correctly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tracifl/martin Once it is approved, I'd like to move it back over to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Martin_Agency I really appreciate your help and sorry to be such a daft cow. thanks. Tracifl (talk) 00:03, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not a hoax

It's not a hoax. I jsut haven't added the references yet. There are two books that can verify it that I have in addition to a schedule for ITV from the mid-1990s.Tail of the chicken (talk) 02:09, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • There are zero references to it on IMDB or Google. If you can't cite sources that can be readily reviewed by other people (and "I have the book" doesn't cut it), don't post the article. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:11, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you has actually noticed the undercostruction tag you would see that I was in the process of adding that information thank you very much.Tail of the chicken (talk) 02:12, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In case you missed it, it looked like this, jus in article format:

Tail of the chicken (talk) 02:15, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was just about to add it to Category:BDSM and a television stub category of sorts when the edit conflicts came along.Tail of the chicken (talk) 02:19, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Fine. Now put up (verifiable sources) or shut up. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:20, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay but I just checked and it still says it is deleted. I'd already added information that I don't feel like typing out again, do you know what it's like flicking through lots of different pages to get their occupations and episode summaries?Tail of the chicken (talk) 02:25, 5 February 2012 (UTC)02:24, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's because it's a hoax. I'm not restoring it, or talking to you further, unless you provide verifiable sources. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:27, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ummmmm... surely ITV schedules from 1996 are verifiable source?Tail of the chicken (talk) 02:29, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of PsyMontreal

Thank you for the quick feedback! I'm new to Wikipedia, and certainly don't want to break any rules! Please let me know what other supporting materials are necessary for you to consider PsyMontreal's contribution to healthcare in Quebec notable. I provided references to 3 government documents supporting the work done by PsyMontreal, but can provide other articles or documents if needed. Thanks for your help! West-island-psychologist (talk) 04:21, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't see how the fact that a mental health firm had 3 government contracts makes it notable per our standards at WP:CORP. There needs to be coverage by reliable independent sources (the government isn't independent, because it is a party to the contracts), see WP:V, showing notability per WP:CORP. NawlinWiki (talk) 13:27, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Once again, thanks for the lightning fast response! I now understand the source of my miscommunication - the 3 government documents referenced in the article don't refer to "contracts" with PsyMontreal. In fact, they are evaluation reports on the state of major shifts in the way health care is being delivered in Quebec, with a shift away from intervention (i.e. waiting for somebody to get sick before entry to health care services), to the prevention of illnesses (motivating the population of Quebec to modify their lifestyles by eating better, exercising more, and stopping to smoking). These 3 government documents explain the government's prevention strategy and the key use of Motivational Interviewing (supported by the training and consulting services of PsyMontreal) over the last 6 years, based on scientifically based best practices. And thank you for your suggestion of adding additional reliable independent sources -- here's an extra one. Please let me know if this is enough, or if you would like more: (This is an article published in the journal of the Professional Order of Nurses of Quebec) [1]
  1. ^ Forget, Dominique (1/10/2006). "L'entrevue motivationnelle ou l'art d'aider son client a prendre le virage du changement". Retrieved 5 February 2012. {{cite journal}}: Check date values in: |date= (help); Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)CS1 maint: date and year (link)
  • That reference appears to be to an article that I can't access on the Web, and therefore can't verify. See WP:V. Furthermore, what you need is sourcing showing that PsyMontreal *itself* (not a program it is involved with) is notable per WP:CORP. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:29, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Once again, thank you for your guidance in this matter. I apologize that the way I presented the info did not make the contributions of PsyMontréal itself evident. I believe that the following will help to clarify the notability of PsyMontréal’s contributions to Quebec’s Health Care sector: In addition to providing the trainings, PsyMontréal itself has notably contributed to the knowledge base of Quebec health care professionals in the use of Motivational interviewing, as the trainers of PsyMontreal has had many articles (all related to the use of Motivational Interviewing to promote healthy lifestyle changes) published in various verifiable independent scientific and professional journals, including: (1) In Psychologie Québec, the official journal of the professional Order of Psychologists of Quebec [1] (2) In Inhalo, the official journal of the professional Order of Respiratory Specialists of Quebec [2] (3) In Perspective infirmière, the official journal of the professional Order of Nurses of Quebec [3] (4) In the Canadian Respiratory Journal, the official journal of the Canadian Thoracic Society [4]

Please let me know if the combination of all the citations provided (from the original article and from the ones on your Talk Page) help to support the notability of PsyMontréal. Thanks again or your help! Can I now re-create the article with the added references? Once again, thanks for your input! West-island-psychologist (talk) 01:40, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Syntonic Corporation

Hey Nawlin, you just deleted an article I wrote in regards to Syntonic Corporation. I don't quite understand why the page is being deleted? Gospo-Fella Entertainment

Hello there, you just deleted my Gospo-Fella Entertaiment page. Like the person above me I don't understand why my page has been deleted; only factual information was included. On my mytalk page you said I didn't indicate why the subject is notable and I had listed the label's award nominations and activities in the gospel music industry. The secondary sources supplied are not affiliated with Gospo-Fella.

(talk

  • There aren't any reliable secondary sources cited - just the company's own site and what appear to be either blogs or PR releases. Also, the article is written in a promotional fashion, see WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:09, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I edited the article I previously posted to exclude any promotional language and referenced only secondary sources notable within the gospel genre and market.

Tyler3lizabeth (talk) 16:26, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I nominated this article for deletion with a PROD today, and do not think the 7 days had expired. Can you please verify? While I have no expectation that this article will be developed into a usable encyclopedia article, I think in this case we risk alienating a new and good faith editor by rushing to delete it rather than giving him/her the opportunity to discuss and learn our inclusion criteria. Thanks! VQuakr (talk) 23:45, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I had previously deleted the same article with a different title, and advised the author of our guidelines prohibiting personal essays. The author ignored the advice and reposted the same article. As you said, it was never going to be a useful article, so I think WP:SNOW applies here. I am glad to discuss with the author if the author shows any interest in such. NawlinWiki (talk) 05:09, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It might be worthwhile following up on the user's talk page. Their surviving live edit was a grammar correction and they appear to be editing in good faith, so it would be nice if they could be convinced to stay and learn our article inclusion guidelines. • No, "people like us" keep advertising and promotion off Wikipedia, no matter what it's for. If our standard was "promotion is ok, if it's for a good enough cause", we'd have endless arguments over what was a good enough cause. If you want an article on this group, you need to (1) write it in neutral language per WP:NPOV; (2) show that it is notable per our standards at WP:ORG, and (3) cite reliable independent sources per WP:V that show the group's notability. Coming Attractions page deletion

I was still writing the page for this website when you chose to delete it, for the reason being that it contained no information that described its appropriate relevance.

I respectfully submit that there are many other examples of similar websites that report news from the entertainment field that have Wiki pages, such as the following: Slashfilm, Dark Horizons, Ain't It Cool News, JoBlo and many others.

Coming Attractions has the distinction of being the first website to collect and break exclusive scoops about Hollywood movies as well as inspiring the makers of these other websites. It has also been featured in many publications including The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, People magazine, Vanity Fair and on G4's Attack of the Show.

I would like to continue writing the page and for you to allow it to be published. Please let me know your thoughts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Screenhead (talkcontribs) 22:09, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Miguel Socolovich

Miguel Socolovich is a pitcher who will be in camp with the Baltimore Orioles Major League Baseball team in approximately one week. I found his Wikipedia page today. I think it consisted of 1 or 2 sentences. A notice warned that the page would be deleted by, I think, February 20th or 21st unless at least one reference was provided to a credible source. So, I added a link to baseball-reference.com. I did not have the time to expand the article today and figured I would have until Feb 20-21st to do so if I wanted, based on the information in the notice. However, when I returned to the page tonight it was already gone. This confuses me. Are AAA pitchers invited to a MLB camp not worthy of being included in Wikipedia? Did the notice say the page was a candidate for deletion at any time, in addition to giving the deadline of Feb 20-21st, and I missed it? Why was the page deleted prior to the stated deadline?

Mark W. Miller (talk) 05:23, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • My understanding is that baseball players who are not on a regular season major league roster are not considered notable per WP:ATHLETE. Articles that do not assert that their subject is notable per Wikipedia's standards can be speedily deleted at any time, see WP:CSD, even if they have a prod notice on them. If Mr. Socolovich makes the Opening Day roster, feel free to recreate. NawlinWiki (talk) 12:29, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gin In Teacups

Hi, I stumbled again over this as I ended up on the wikipedia page for Kieran Leonard where Gin In Teacups is mentioned, but of course, cannot link to anywhere on wikipedia. Also, I found it being discussed in a few articles, one fully dedicated to it on the Monthly Planet #18 by the Music Tourist Board [2] (pages 53 to 55), by the official Katzenjammer website, managed by Universal Music Germany [3], and the official website of London band The Jude [4]. I also noticed that equivalent website Black Cab Sessions has a wikipedia page despite having only one reference. As they share quite a few artists they had as guests with Gin In Teacups I reckon the latter's relevance now might be rediscussed? Many thanks for the time you will dedicate to this.

Sheentylla (talk) 06:25, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • As in 2011, you need to find reliable independent sources (WP:V) that discuss Gin in Teacups itself, and establish that it is notable per WP:WEB. I will look at the Black Cab article, but in general, see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. NawlinWiki (talk) 12:30, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I understand, but that's why I thought to send you those links above. I don't know exactly how the Monthly Planet is distributed (looks like a fanzine to me) but it has a whole article about what gin in teacups is and does and how it's relevant in the world of music sessions online. I see why being a website the only reason other online sources seems to talk about it is if a session has featured an artist of interested to that certain website, but with every band playing for it and then telling via their online channels that they've played for gin in teacups, that seemed relevant to me to understand about the entity behind the single sessions which many different bands have talked about (such as the universal website I gave the link above). RE: Deletion of "Mawashi Protective Clothing" page

Hi NawlinWiki,

I wanted to comment your answer concerning the deletion of the page Mawashi Protective Clothing. I would like to present you multiple reliable sources of information, external to the subject itself, that make this topic notable:

Thereby, if you too would consider these source of information as reliable, could you consider undeleting the wikipedia page on this topic? Thank you very much! Shareitnow (talk) 14:18, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article was not deleted for lack of notability. It was deleted as advertising/promotion, see speedy delete category g11. It might help if you would prepare a draft in your userspace that avoided being advertising (for example, get rid of the bullet list of products, and the description of the company as a "solutions provider"). Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 22:21, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Question

My fans created the Page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DJ_Dimentox And were modifying it and you deleted it. Their goal is to tag that to the hardstyle genera s a notable artist. I am one of the few notable US based hardstyle artists in a scene dominated by EU/UK/Netherlands people. They recently informed me it was deleted. I came to question as to why if i am one of the notable US based Hardstyle Artists. Dimentox (talk)

  • The article needs to cite reliable independent sources (see WP:V) to show that the subject meets the notability standards set out at WP:MUSIC. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:01, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Etc the only reason they stay is cause they linked to the steampunk articles where To get linked to my genera you have to have a page? Which came first chicken or the egg. There are several Citable things, Itunes, etc. Dimentox (talk) 02:09, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Basically i mean if its that big a deal ill go through a ton of artists and post em here for deletion that dont meet every thing you posted according to the standards you judged the page my FANS created. So if your gonna clean up lets do it right, i will be more than willing to help and expect the same treatment and considerations you gave my FANS to the links i will post. Lets see how many articles we can kill with one post. Dimentox (talk) 02:14, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I deleted Frenchy because it lacked sources indicating notability. The other two articles cite reliable independent sources, so I did not delete them. I suggest before you start any campaigns for justice, you read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:16, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And what about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Assume_good_faith Your speedy deletion without marking it for needs this or needs that. Remember I did not make t his article. But i will sure help them out for next time they decide but Wikipedia has left a bad taste in their mouth when people are trying to add to the contributions and get slapped.

Deletion Question for DogHouse Systems

You deleted the wiki for DogHouse Systems citing A7. What I failed to understand is why other wikis for various computer manufacturers are fine according to you. Alienware, Origin PC and many others. I see above that you deleted a wiki entry that provided a bullet list of products which I included in the wiki about DogHouse Systems. Would just listing the general brands and not bulleting them be appropriate? Other companies bullet which is why I ask. clarkpetri (talk)

  • Surprisingly enough, I am not familiar with the content of each of Wikipedia's 3 million-plus articles, so it is not accurate to say that other articles are "fine according to [me]." See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. With respect to DogHouse, you need to cite reliable, independent sources (see WP:V) to show that the company meets the notability standards listed at WP:CORP. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:00, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Beware of Darkness (band) Deletion

Hey Nawlin, bit confused as to why Beware of Darkness (band) was speedily deleted instead of an add references tag. I'll add more external links and sources to the article - it think it should meet musician notability requirements easily as the band is signed. Speedy Deletion of Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012

Please, could you rather revert the changes made by User:Inlandmamba, caution him and restore the article Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012, with its associated File:Cover of Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012.jpg, to the state it were when I last contributed to it? If you check my original contributions before his speculative and promotional changes, you will find that the original article is not an advert. Userify League of Small Nations so I can add refs?

Deletion Question About BitScalerTechnologies Page

I setup a company page for our company... not unlike many of the others out there (see below for examples) and I am curious what specifically was violated by creation of the page. The generic "promotion" tag doesn't really tell me anything. Isn't it "promotion" by having a page at all? If there is something specific I could have changed I'd be happy to do so it was just really unclear to me what the difference was. I would like to know how our page was different then these and warrants deleting:

So confused

Back on Jan, 23 2011 you advised the following "Per your request, your draft is now in your userspace at User:Ibulnes/Baird Williams & Greer. NawlinWiki (talk) 23:42, 23 January 2012 (UTC)"

I made the revisions within the "userspace" and published and do not seem to have any issues with the content not being "wikipedia friendly". HOWEVER, I would like this content to be moved to "Baird Williams & Greer" instead of "User:Ibulnes/Baird Williams & Greer" - can you please do this (or tell me HOW to do this)?

Howdy

NawlinWiki! I just noticed you deleted some awful book that I prodded. Thanks. Listen, I keep forgetting to tell you something else. Remember I asked you to do a session with me at the Sigma Tau Delta conference in NO next week? Well, we've been scrapped from the program: we are not, apparently, exciting enough and there wasn't a lot of room in the program anyway. I'm really sorry, but I have no power here. Anyway, if you're in the area between March 1-4, I'll buy you a cup of coffee somewhere--we'll both go incognito and can pretend to not know each other. We're in the Marriott on Canal. Blacklisting

Just a heads up regarding diff, it is fine to add it here, but please also report this to meta, en.wikipedia is not the only wiki where this rubbish is added (see this).

I've given this stuff to XLinkBot as well, but that will only work in mainspace (unfortunately). Editors who get reverted for this, will not get a warning, but appear on AIV immediately. --Dirk Beetstra T C 13:47, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Will do - can you give me a link to the reporting page on meta? Also, our edit filters #56, 139, and 422 seem to have stopped the last round of this on en.wiki - those should be adopted elsewhere. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:13, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • We're bashing the hell out of it on meta, it is pretty annoying. For meta, I only know the template that we use here on en.wikipedia:  Defer to Global blacklist (blacklist on en has a different name than on meta, I always confuse them, now I know that I am doing it correct). Thanks! --Dirk Beetstra T C 04:05, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

I don't know what happened. I wasn't even looking at my screen and when I turned back I had reverted something on your page. It wasn't intentional. I must have been on my watchlist and accidentally clicked rollback.--v/r - TP 14:09, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gift Card Score

I see you deleted my article based on G11, was it the tone of the article? I'd like to add Gift Card Score: it is similar to a topics such as credit score. My aim is not to be spammy, companies like Bass Pro Shops and Cinemark use gift card score and thousands consumers see it each day. Any direction is greatly appreciated. ~ JuddL333 — Preceding unsigned comment added by JuddL333 (talkcontribs) 20:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're going to need to find reliable independent sources (see WP:V) that show that this concept is notable per WP:N. It's not enough that it may have notable customers - the concept itself must have been acknowledged as notable. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:30, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Zynex

My article on Zynex, Inc. was deleted for not listing anything "notable" about the company/entity. In the previous incarnation of that article, I listed what was notable about the company and the article was deleted for having a "tone of advertising". This time around I kept it straight and to the point. Info about what the company/entity is, what it does, where it's located, a very brief history segment, and some external links for financial information as well as citations. I used the PepsiCo article as my frame of reference with regard to acceptable content (that isn't advertising). So my question is, how exactly do I go about listing the notable elements of the company/entity without creating a "tone" of advertising? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlukowitz (talkcontribs) 05:17, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • You need to cite reliable independent sources (see WP:V) that show that the company is notable per our standards at WP:CORP. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:55, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Integromics

We have submitted an article on Integromics that has been rapidly removed (17:14, 23 February 2012 NawlinWiki (talk | contribs) deleted "Integromics" ‎ (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion)) We cannot agree with this decision since the article accomplished all the requested features to be publish, including references of scientific articles in Nature and in Cell published by Integromics. Our aim is to include Integromics in the list of List of bioinformatics companies that is published in Wikipedia, where there are links to wiki-articles of many other bioinformatics companies of all shorts of sizes and notoriety. We ourselves have scientific articles as we are a research group based company, having by far more notoriety than some of the companies in the mentioned list. Our aim is NOT backlinking our webpage (we are aware of the note Wikipedia sent to us, when constructing the article, that the links are edited to not be followed by search engines) or making any kind of publicity. If our aim is not clear enough, please, I would appreciate if you let us know how to improve the article.

GameCola deletion

The article was deleted under "section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion". However, I feel that this article represents a very significant organization in the realm of video games. This organization produces several reviews, comics, news, blog, and video segments on video games and is a significant contributor to the video game review industry. I request that this page be reinstated so the history can be maintained. While the organization is not as big as other companies, there's no reason that this organization's page can't remain, as it was written in a fair and objective manner. No, I am not the owner of this website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stealthrabbi (talkcontribs) 20:24, 23 February 2012 (UTC) stealthrabbi (talk) 20:27, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • You need to be able to cite reliable independent sources (see WP:V) that demonstrate that the page meets the notability standards of WP:WEB. It's not enough that you, or I, think that the site is "significant." NawlinWiki (talk) 20:58, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fake-A-Text deletion

Why do you keep on deleting my page?

It is not written as an advertisement nor is it designed to be. We have 2.5 million users and a couple extra through Wikipedia would be meaningless. The app certainly is significant enough to justify a Wikipedia entry... 1 in 20 teens in the US have Fake-A-Text even including those without iOS devices. In other words, in the average classroom at school, one person has Fake-A-Text and probably another 4 or 5 have heard of it.

If you want to rewrite it, fine. Accusing me of spam, however, is ridiculous. You continue to delete the page giving no reason other than it being an ad which it is obviously not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.98.100.22 (talk) 20:34, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • As the username of the author makes apparent, this is the owner of the website posting pages *about* his own website. If this is the same user, this is continuing even in the above question - how do we know that "1 in 20 teens in the US have Fake-A-Text"? The owner's word is not sufficient, see WP:V. In general, self-promotion is not what Wikipedia is for. See WP:COI as well as WP:SPAM. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:58, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So you deleted it because one of the many claims was not supported by a source? I even added a citation needed warning to that specific claim while I work on providing the proof in the way that the average user can understand. This is not self promotion; it is an article about a very popular iPhone application that has had a significant impact on teen culture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wlegate (talkcontribs) 01:38, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bristlecone (Company) deletion

Dear NawlinWiki, As a participant of a post-graduate institute, I have been working on this organisation, Bristlecone that is a subsidiary of M&M. This is a niche supply chain consulting firm. I intend to provide a centralized repository of this organisation as it can serve to provide rich knowledge into the supply chain domain for candidates pursuing a career in the same or seeking information on similar companies. Please note that the entire business model of this organisation is driven by B2B philosophies and hence the wiki page cannot be considered as any form of advertisement. The intent is only to provide information on supply chain consultant providers. I request you to please un-delete the page in the light of the aforementioned thoughts. --Narendrasagrawal (talk) 22:08, 23 February 2012 (UTC)Narendrasagrawal[reply]

Liquivision deletion

Hi

I created a brief history of Liquivision to link it to the general Dive Computers page, under the "manufacturers" section. You deleted it immediately. However, I would like to know how my post was different from the other manufacturer's pages linked there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizen_Watch_Co. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceanic_Worldwide http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uwatec#Uwatec etc.. I was not trying to incite sales, simply providing a historical account of the development of our products and company, like those above. Margaretmalewski (talk) 02:02, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • In my opinion, the Liquivision article was written in a promotional tone with lots of adjectives lauding the company and its products. Of the articles you cited, the first doesn't exist, the third is a very brief section in a parent company's article, and the second is written more neutrally and cites independent sources. But generally, see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:05, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
