Telefilm Canada

Hi NawlinWiki. I was simply looking to update the Telefilm Canada page as it is quite outdated. Telefilm released a new corporate plan, and with it has new objectives, etc. that are not reflected in the current page. As well, the page is lacking on information - information that I helped (or thought I did) to fill out. If you feel the links are unnecessary and would like to remove them, feel free. This was not an exercise in spamming or link building. But in light of the changes at Telefilm, I hope that you would reconsider your decision to completely undo my edits without fairly assessing the information that I had provided.

Thanks Andrea5865 (talk) 20:21, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just tagged the above titled article for CSD and noticed your message on the creator's talk page. FWIW, unless I have misread the time stamps, the page seems to have been created before your warning. - UnbelievableError (talk) 04:12, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There's absolutely no reason why this page should have been tagged for deletion because of "blatant" advertising or any advertising for that matter. The article was purely factual, and was about one of the leading and most sophisticated (and eagerly awaited) pieces of spreadsheet auditing software in the industry. The Audinator software has a huge presence in the internal audit community and financial/BI analyst community, and anyone who knows anything about computer-aided spreadsheet audit tools is familiar with The Audinator and respects the innovations and benefits it has brought to our day-to-day work in spreadsheet modeling. There was no advertising speak, contact info, or even a link to the website. I trust that when you consider the above, and re-evaluate more closely you will see the truth in my comments here. Accordingly, I will re-post the article, and will be happy to engage in any meaningful dialogue or criticisms as to its content. As always, I am happy to edit as per any constructive suggestions in order to enhance and improve. BizIntelAnalyst

You have reverted more than just my deletion of that section, when I intended to move it. Did you just looked at my IP and reverted all I did without checking what it is?79.179.224.214 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:57, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

The Angelic Process's significance

I know they're probably not particularly economically successful, but I think that nearly 10 million hits on Google and 20 thousand listeners on last.fm warrant some relevance. Yes, it is an underground band, but there is a significant following. Please consider this for undeletion. Oh, and I'm sure that having one album out on Profound Lore Records doesn't hurt either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.107.152.254 (talk) 20:54, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article did not indicate how the band was notable per our guidelines for bands, see WP:MUSIC. Anyone reposting the article would have to assert notability per those guidelines, and would have to cite reliable independent sources, see WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:31, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Praeger's Page Speedy Deletion

We are unsure of how to edit or re-write the page we submitted for Dr. Praeger's Sensible Foods when pages for our competitor brands, including Morningstar Farms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morningstar_Farms), and Amy's Kitchen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy's_Kitchen) have similar language to our submssion. What specific language in our article can make this page sound less promotional? Consider the already published pages, and consider the reestablishment of our page. Recent salting

You do know that John Daker is going to change one little thing and get around each and every title you salted, right? --MuZemike 16:15, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not necessarily. He has to know what the "one little thing" is first. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:28, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Category for Insurance in America and Texas

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Insurance_companies_of_the_United_States

This is wiki... not Britannica. GRACY TITLE COMPANY. Law, Insurance and Land Heritage.

This article was NOT a candidate for Speedily Delete.

Iconoclast.Horizon (talk) 18:22, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The fact that you are including the company's slogan, even in your post to me, indicates that the purpose of the article is advertising, see WP:SPAM. Regardless, the article did not indicate how this company met our notability guidelines as spelled out at WP:CORP, and did not cite any reliable, independent (or, indeed, any) sources per WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:08, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Slogan? You are bit confused... and a bit too assertive in your assumptions; there is no slogan, (and I do not work for this company, in case you are assuming that as well). That was a quick note to you as to what a title insurance company is about, as I suspect you may not know that, as I can well see that you fail to read closely the articles you edit and delete. Since this is a public forum, which I have been contributing to since 2004, I am very aware of "our" notability guidelines, with this company being the first in Texas at the beginning of that industry in the country, with its early members founding members being early active Texas statesmen and land holders of the largest areas of the state, but I doubt you bothered to read that entirety of the article was regarding the history of the company and the part it played with the people and the capitol.

Also, you may wish to actually open and look at the list of companies under "our" Wiki Category INSURANCE COMPANIES before you carry on with further deletions of such articles. You may have to delete most of those based on "your" personal assessment of this one.

The article was in progress, not completed, as you are well aware, (with references being added as you deleted it) and met the same standards as the other 228 companies listed under that category and was NOT a candidate for "Speedy Deletion". So before you tell me to write the entire article in the sandbox, I am telling you get your facts straight before you delete articles that already have a category. Lack of attention and misuse of your admin simply to keep adding numbers to your contribs.

I very recently created a page on Microfleems, which are used my major hardware companies. However, you deleted it because it was "inappropriate" although there was nothing nearly inappropriate. List of The Streets of San Francisco episodes

Hi there. I was about to make a page called "List of The Streets of San Francisco episodes" when I saw a tag saying that a page with that name had been deleted in 2007 because it was an incomplete list. The list is now complete, and taking up too much space on the show's main page, so would you object if I moved it back to the previous page (i.e., rebuilt "List of The Streets of San Francisco episodes")?

Let me know at your convenience. Thank you.

Review Dr. Praeger's Edits

Hello NawlinWiki, you and I left off with the suggestion to place the new version of the Dr. Praeger's Sensible Foods page at this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mmm1993/Dr._Praeger%27s I wanted to know if you had a chance to look over the page and give me any further suggestions on how to improve the page and make it less promotional or biased. Mmm1993 (talk) 15:19, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chaosname filter

This edit prompted a bot to report the would-be editor to AIV, but it's been sitting there for over six hours because nobody's clear what's going on. I've looked through Special:AbuseFilter/439, but I'm not sure what to say, so (apologetically) I hereby pass the buck to the filter's creator. Nyttend (talk) 11:19, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • See the edit history of, for example, Dutch people for an idea of what the filter is looking for. This one was a false positive and I've removed it from AIV. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 12:57, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
