Southbank Image Uploads[edit]

I have been given express permssion by the Southbank Centre to use a number of images to improve their Wikipedia entry. They provided me with the images, and the photographer in each case has been stated, and I believe I have chosen the correct copyright choice. Why have they been deleted? Bad Medicine Comedy Troupe[edit]

This page was deleted for being a non-notable student group. I'm a somewhat concerned by that it was stated as the only comedy troupe in the nation that is entirely written, performed and produced by high school students. Now, it doesn't support that claim with a source. Nonetheless, the group has done research and is relatively positive that is a fact - until we provide a legitmate source will the page continue to be deleted, or with sources is it still likely to be deemed non-notable?Schlichtinator 03:52, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To elaborate on the above comment...the fact that Bad Medicine Comedy Troupe is the only comedy troupe in the country that is entirely student produced, written and directed and performed on a regular basis was highly researched and found to be most likely true. However, while I understand that "most likely true" isn't acceptable, it is--without a doubt--the only comedy troupe of that type in the state of Florida. I believe that that in itself makes it notable enough to be included in Wikipedia. An article about the troupe has been published in a local newspaper...is that a notable source? If the page is resotred or re-created, will it continue to be deleted? In addition, I cannot understand why the article on Lake Howell Theater Company was deleted. It is (again, without a doubt and easily proved to be) the only high school theater company in the state of Florida (and, again, most likely in the nation) to have performed over 150 shows in the past 10 years. In addition, they have won several awards and participated at the state level multiple times. Both pages were still being worked on on a daily basis--they were not complete and were deleted without so much as a note being left on a talk page or anything. Please consider...thank you. KennyBee 11:44, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize. I am new to wikipedia (as you could easily tell by looking at my contributions) and I cannot simply erect a new page in a day. I spent several long hours and days checking and reviewing sources, planning, sandboxing, and checking criteria. I (and others that edited the two above mentioned pages) made the mistake of not citing sources appropriately, however that is because both pages WERE STILL IN DEVELOPMENT. Under the guidelines of the Wikipedia:Attributions page I did use several acceptable sources however, including personal interviews with both several current and past members of both the theater company and the comedy troupe (primary source), in addition to the newspaper article(secondary source), research from the student and sponsor run Myspace accounts("questionable"-but as I understand it, acceptable-sources), information from press releases (again, secondary) and etc. I believe that both of these pages were unjustly deleted. And my apologies again--my "no note left on the page" comment referred to the fact that it was deleted and THEN the comment was added not the comment was added, given time for discussion and THEN deleted. KennyBee 13:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are the above sources adequate??? KennyBee 13:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If the above corrections and citations were included, would the article be acceptable??? KennyBee 17:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Predator DNC[edit]

I know that I'm new to Wikipedia but I thought I was following the rules. I purposely made my article similar to other software products. Why did my Predator DNC article get deleted?

Ginny Sanchez[edit]

An article that I started (and you graciously approved) about the disc jockey Ginny Sanchez has a new notability dispute from a user who is a Ron and Fez and Opie and Anthony fan. The criterion used, based on this user's contribution history, appears to be whether or not Ms. Sanchez is a current "show character" on the specific radio show the editor listens to. ("wackbagger" is a term used for a fan of the Opie and Anthony or Ron and Fez shows, who also is a message board poster to wackbag.com.)

I am not about to remove this tag myself, but rather ask you to revisit the page to make a decision about user:whackbagger's notability tag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glubdamn (talkcontribs) 13:58, 1 March 2007

Red Croatia[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page Serbian agresion on Montenegro. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. See Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Red Croatia. I didn't delete your question, I archived it (I archive my talk page at the end of every month). As for a response, I explained my deletion of your pages above. In short, they both expressed a non-neutral point of view in violation of WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki 18:18, 1 March 2007 (UTC) I copied the preceding paragraph from this edit.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 00:26, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
? No they didn't. You violated Wikipedia's deletion policy simply because of yur personal agenda.
Yes, they (the pages) did express your point of view. Also, the statements you made were not backed by neutral point of view research. In addition, they were not verifiable. Thus, they constituted original research. I think NawlinWiki was correct in deleting them.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 00:26, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have failed to convince NawlinWiki (the admin who deleted the Serbian agresion on Montenegro article which you created), you can list the page on Deletion Review for further discussion per the Wikipedia undeletion policy. You can also try to revert this edit. Instead of doing either of those things, if I were you I would find sources you can quote that can help you to create and improve those articles. And please, if you try to recreate an article on Serbian aggression on Montenegro, spell "aggression" correctly.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 00:26, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Page for Tero[edit]

The subject and entry I created regarding the global Tero currency was deleted for no apparent reason. This article was of international significance and represents the efforts, writing, and concepts of many people in the field of economics and global banking.

Please inform me as to why the article was deleted, and what needs to be done to recreate it.

The action seems to be malicious, unjust and petty.

Deletion of Page for Grammarpalooza[edit]

The article that you deleted was not eligable for deletion due to the fact it was 'notable' - as the Grammarpalooza rock concert is a medium through which many bands have performed and used as a stepping stone on which to launch themselves onto the world music stage (see Dappled Cities Fly). It is quite possibly the only concert of its type in Australia where minors can perform to a large audience through such a medium. Also, it has lead to many bands now playing around Australia, as they were formed at Grammarpalooza. As you do not live in Australia, I must ask how you decided if the article was notable as you do not understand the context...

Reiterating the comments of Jake Jacobs, you seem to be deleting articles for no reason at all so I would suggest that you discuss the notability of the article with the author before you decide that is is not notable to yourself as you have not heard of it.

Hank Braxtan[edit]

Hank Braxtan - I'm having a hard time understanding why the article on Hank Braxtan was deleted. Under the guidelines I read here on Wikipedia, filmmakers only need a significant fan base or notable works. Actually, he has both. First off, he is published under the IMDb, and they are quite specific on whom they will allow into their database as well. His movies have been premiered at Independent Film Festivals as well. Additionally, I checked to make sure the article would be allowed prior to starting it. Finally, I am confused as to why the article was "speedily deleted" when there might've been some question as to his notability. It was my understanding that in that situation, there was supposed to be some contest to it, or some discussion to take place. Please let me know what the issue is, and I can spend another 4 hours rewriting the article. Thank you. Steven Williamson 22:35 4 March 2007 EST

The Flypaper Cartel[edit]

Hello this is in regards to a deletion made sunday march 04, 2007. The page I created for the band The Flypaper Cartel was removed under the grounds that it did not meet criteria required for a page on a musical artist. In fact, there was an article published online and in the paper Los Angeles Alternative on friday, august 25th 2006, at 10:56 am. The article was titled "Side Stage" and subtitled "spotlighting the best of local music: The Flypaper Cartel." While creating the page, I searched the online records for a citation of this article and found that the newspaper deletes its archived articles after a certain period of time. This is a band I care very deeply about, and recognition on Wikipedia would be an exciting achievement. --User:MARTINtheHIRSH 03:43, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted my Zion (IRC) article.

As mentioned, it was work in progress.. I had to restart my computer. Maybe if I had posted that it would have made a difference? In any case, I'd like to rewrite it, this time making sure that should I save the page, there is significant assertion of notability.

Could you post the contents of the page in my talk page or email it to me@fusionstream.org.

Thanks a bunch,

The difference in this story is that Gary Peach is a child worker and worked with very young children. Like I said in the discussion more info will be adding shortly, with quotes etc etc. Also how can u say its not important enough the whole idea of wikipedia is for people to come on here and find things out they didnt know before. If a paedophile that has been playing around with children isnt important enough then why is Michael Jackson or Gary Glitter on here. Micheleo's not viable?[edit]

Hi there. SamGisu is actually a group of four college students working on an assignment to show the history of something in the area of our college. That was our first point. Second point: Micheleo's Pizza's article was very obviously about a restaurant and NOT a group of people, a band, or web content. The address was listed, as well as history on the establishment in question. There's many different wikis on restaurants, including Jimmy John's, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's (pizza restaurants, who knew?), etc. Just wanted to let you know that you made a mistake. Team Lightening Page[edit]

I do not believe this should be deleted as it is about a charity Trampoline Club, and therefore people should be able to know about it. I included weblinks to show what the club is about. People may be interested in the club and want to know more about it, or infact its members may want to find out about the history of the club. I would appreciate it if u reconsidered. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beefysteak (talkcontribs) 22:10, 8 March 2007

This may be so but my reasons are above. New members of the club may be interested in it's history, and as a information source wikipedia is where they would go to to find this information. At a later date, when i have more information on the history I will add this so it builds up and members can be further informed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beefysteak (talkcontribs) 22:16, 8 March 2007

Isn't the whole point of wikipedia to give information of what people want to know about? If people want to know about a big business like Alan Sugar's, they can find out about that. Or for a more connected example, a big football club they can. Why is it that small clubs should be excluded? I, and I'm sure others would be more interested in Team Lightening than Chelsea Football club. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beefysteak (talkcontribs) 22:22, 8 March 2007

Deletion of FUNtastic![edit]

Hi Some college friends of mine are in a great band for Children called FUNtastic! I'm trying to make a wikipedia article for them and it keeps getting deleted. The article is informative, detailing who is in the band etc, and I have even tried following the templates of other bands listed on Wikipedia. Why do you keep speedily deleting my article? Thankyou —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Osussat (talkcontribs) 17:14, 9 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Hi NawlinWiki. In response to your initial reply, addressing each of the issues in turn: RE Notability : A quick search of google would have revealed a press release from the book Publisher. Also, with due respect, how would you know of whether a UK Children's band was notably known or not? Are you in the market to be a potential consumer of such products? I believe that a search of the internet will reveal more articles like this. Afterall, they've sold 80,000 books in the UK, and have reviews on Amazon, iTunes etc. RE Bands in general and Wikipedia not being a promotional tool, I did not try and put any direct links to products etc, just explained who the band was, where you might know the members from, what they do, and put a link to their website for more information. Please feedback and let me know how I can post this article to your satisfaction.[[[User:Osussat|Osussat]] 17:36, 9 March 2007 (UTC)]

Hi NawlinWiki. I am struggling to see how to resolve the first issue of notability (I assume that as you have not commented RE me using the article as a promotion tool that you have reconsidered that decision following my points?). Because this band is essentially a commercial product, me pointing to independent sources (who are going to be online bookshops with reviews, iTunes reviews etc), will you not deem this as self-promotion? Looking forward to resolving this. [[[User:Osussat|Osussat]] 17:44, 9 March 2007 (UTC)]

If that is the case, then why not propose the article about the building and the group that performs there be merged into one? There is lots of good and overlapping information there that should be kept. Is tagging an endless amount of articles as requiring 'speedy deletion' the only way you see to improve things? There are ways to be constructive and positive in edits without sweeping in out of nowhere and passing instant judgement. Why you continue to behave this way on Wiki baffles me. --SpyMagician 15:26, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Andy Marsters[edit]

You have recently deleted a page about a radio DJ called Andy Marsters. Not only has this page been created by the listeners of the show that he presents, he has also done other things unrelated to the radio station he currently works at. Numerous reviews of his shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival were about to be linked to the page, and you will see that if you like at the 'Kingstown Radio' page on wiki, that he is listed as a current DJ for this station also. Surely if a person is looking at the 'Kingstown Radio' page, and would like some more information on a selected DJ, this source of information would be valuable.

The page also contained a history of Andy's shows on the radio, including a guide of each feature present. Is this not in-depth information?

Finally, Andy was starting to create a profile for himself on numerous forms of media, he appears on stage, radio and also is about to try and have a go at cracking television. I believe that Andy is starting to attract note, even if he is not notable now.

Why did you delete that page? I was not the only contributor to that page. I actually removed the list from super-cluttered Nike, Inc. page and put it on a separate page, and then you deleted it saying, I "was the only contributor". Cleveland, MS μSA[edit]

The Cleveland, MS μSA is the abbreviated form of the Cleveland, Mississippi Micropolitan Statistical Area. This abbreviated form is used primarily for redirected links in tables. See the Table of United States primary census statistical areas. μSA is pronounced mu-es-aye. You are welcome to type the entire name out in the long form. --Buaidh 21:41, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of redirects[edit]

As you can see from Table of United States Micropolitan Statistical Areas, you deleted a redirect that was not only not an unlikely name for the subject, it is even an official designation for Pottsville, PA μSA. {{db-nonsense}} is perhaps the most widely abused of the speedy deletion tags. It is frequently applied incorrectly. Always double-check that it really applies. Uncle G 21:49, 12 March 2007 (UTC)kk ty[reply]

Deleting My Article[edit]

I was in the middle of uploading historical information about the Salem Witch Trials for the Witchcraze article page, when you deleted my article. I am new to Wikipedia and am learning how to do the formatting, so I am not as proficient or as quick as others. I guess others can create a whole page in less than an hour. I was uploading information that is historically based on my research of the Salem and European Witch Trials, with academic references and links to universities, the Library of Congress, and various museums dealing with the subject of the Witch Trials, including Arthur Miller's "The Crucible". Why don't you wait for someone to finish their Wikipedia page before you go deleting? --Witchcraze 18:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What Gives?![edit]

I was also in the middle of an article aria c jalali!, and you deleted it before I had time to add sources. I cannot fathom why though. I already had a couple sources and you claimed non notability. He has several albums released in stores, is absolutely HUGE in the san francisco music, and has 22,000 fans at the least, readily available to see! It is just absurd to me that I am trying to contribute information into this encyclopedia and you guys would delete it claiming nonnotability. thats like deleting arcade fire or someone. can I please have that page back the way it was so I don't have to completely begin from scratch? I wouldnt even know what to change about it if I began it again. Or at least can I have a more comprehensive explanation please? I stayed up until five AM working on that, as my first article, as I was listening to his vinyl record and you just came and deleted it. How can you justify 90% of the bands that appear on wikipedia and then delete this one? most of your musicians are gold selling artist. As a matter of fact, rarely are indie musicians gold selling artists. So by making SUCH INTENSE notoriaty to be the basis to justify being on wikipedia, then you are completely marginalizing the indie movement and taking their voice away. Now wiki users can only be exposed to corporate giants. It is so ridiculous. Please put my article back and tell me what needs to be changed instead of just deleting it. I even added a holdon tag and defended it. Scenehands 19:11, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

okay, I understand that you have given me the guidelines, but with my article still deleted, how am I to implement these guidelines and add the new sources/signifigance? thanks,

Scenehands 19:23, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My whole question is, can you give me back the original page's contents? If not by just putting it back up, then to me so i don't have to completely start over. also the exclamation point is part of the musical groups title. its like the band "adult." or the other band "!!! (chkchkchk)." If I took out the exclamation point, it would just be the musicians name rather than stage name / title under which his albums are released. If you look him up on itunes, or the internet, or in magazine, there is a ! that follows everytime.

finally, when trying to make this article, i used the page for rising_dissent as my template. I am curious to know what the rationale for keeping their page up and not the one I made is, considering they are basically the exact same page, with different pictures and group names, and when the musician I chose to write about has MUCH more fans, has toured EXTENSIVELY (I have seen him live twice in New York, and once in California), and has more albums. sorry for bugging you, but I had been up until five or so, when I woke up today to finally finish the sources in the article, everything was gone and lost and just put me in the worst mood. bleh. thanks again,

Scenehands 19:33, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ah! thank you so much. I will improve the article indeed. thank you again! Scenehands 19:46, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Government Pages[edit]

I am disappointed with your overuse of power on Wikipedia. I am creating articles which describe an up-and-coming band in Westbrook, Connecticut. They have created an EP and are performing regularly. You have been misled - Kororinpa[edit]

You deleted Kororinpa: Marble Mania in place for a non-controversial move. This is however, not the case. It is true that I vandalized the redirect, however, beforehand User:TJ Spyke unilaterally moved the page to Kororinpa: Marble Mania and then vandalized the Kororinpa redirect. I had to get an admin to revert that said move, and then resorted to the vandals own measures to stop a move war (even my deleted edit summary at Kororinpa: Marble Mania will show this, and the deleted edits at Kororinpa will show the original vandalism, something which Spyke denies as ever). Although I regret joining him in his low brow tactics, I have moved the page back. - hahnchen 10:04, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Continuum[edit]

I don't think I adaquately understand the "notability" argument in the case of items such as films and videogames if the article I had for the continuum was worthy of deletion. Entries such as The Number 23 or Horse Isle RPG both contain essentially descriptions of what the item is, and a small amount of information about the item. The continuum page did exactly that. In fact, I would argue the continuum page was at least three times as notable as the Horse Isle page, and asserted equally as much significance as something like the dofus page. Llanwar 18:23, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, after reading the notability page, the primary criteria is independent, reliable sources writing non-trivially about the subject. I would argue that both the GameZone and GameDaily sources I referenced in the article are established sources of gaming news. Also, IGN has written an article about the company, furthering the amount of published information on the subject. Llanwar 18:37, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3LAB[edit]

Dear Editor:

Thank you for your feedback on the entry, "3LAB." However, would you clarify the reasons for speedy deletion? In comparing this entry to those for other commercially available skin care brands, the submission does not seem to be substantially different nor more promotional. Care was taken to ensure that subjective or promotional language was not used and that copy was limited to statement of fact. For example, the Olay entry states, "Olay's marketing was also unique." This is clearly a subjective and promotional assessment, yet this entry was accepted. The L'Occitane entry cites, "the core values of Sensorality, Authenticity and Respect are central to every aspect of L'Occitane." How is this less promotional than the cited statement that "3LAB products are formulated to provide multi-functional benefits such as anti-aging, hydration, etc." This is a statement of fact. The products are formulated to provide multiple benefits. Please clarify so that the entry can be edited to meet Wikipedia requirements. If the submission was deleted on the grounds that the brand must be notable, how is this evaluation made? Is it based on availability, sales, years in existence? This seems to be subjective. 3LAB is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, therefore the brand is known and has been for several years. Thank you for your assistance.

Why'd you delete this page?[edit]

I made the page for the Mahwah High School Marching Thunderbirds and you deleted it. Great job on CSDs! The pages were deleted almost as fast as I clicked on "Save". ;) Keep up the good work! --Elonka 19:58, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quick question[edit]

How is a wiki for IBM, 3M or Pottery Barn not commercial? I take it the answer is that their BIG?? I was only putting an image to better represent a wiki entry. Seems somewhat illogical to me but I guess like most information, once you make enough money to control media... you control media. I dig. When is google buying this thing? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tortillaface (talkcontribs) 20:08, 27 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Sorry I didn't sign... Told you I was new.Tortillaface 20:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I do appreciate the response :) You must mean notability like Grynner? Maybe on some planet.

PS. I was not insinuating you were being paid, just that cash = notability, unless you have an admin buddy (see above). select comfort mattresses with a hyperlink! (type select comfort into search box).Interesting logic. Have fun. Tortillaface 16:37, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Surrender of Lord Cornwallis.jpg[edit]

Hi. There's nothing wrong with the image itself, but it is hosted on Commons. I was just tagging the corresponding empty enwiki image page for deletion, hence the {{db-noimage}} tag. Not a big deal really but... --KFP (talk | contribs) 20:15, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's CSD I2. "This is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image." Same goes for Image:US states by date of statehood.gif. Cheers, --KFP (talk | contribs) 20:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The cost of ruling[edit]

I am a newbie, granted, by why delete "the cost of ruling"? I have in academic quarterlys seen the phenomenom refered. and I provided a link to a working paper, which provides additional sources. Just curious... Achristoffersen 21:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Image:Pallywood cover.jpg. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

Your hastey deletion of the image just as I was adding it to the Pallywood article (about 8 minutes(!)[3] after it was initially uploaded) was not a proper move, I suggest in the future that you inspect the time the image was uploaded before you delete it for not having any links.

Now I'm supposed to re-write all the image information because of your poor judgement (low level vandalism). Jaakobou 12:43, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Things can be un-deleted here at Wikipedia, the way they were when they were deleted. Perhaps if you phrased that a little nicer, NawlinWiki would be more likely to look into un-deleting it. Calling it vandalism though, is not appropriate. Leebo T/C 12:45, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies, i did not know it could be restored and allready sat on re-writing the info, i'm sure you can understand how it feels to insert an image and when you add it to an article it's allready deleted. anyways, image was promptly restored and i'm more than willing to remove the un-delete2 tag if you wish me to. This is ASPISBRILLIANT[edit]

This is ASPISBRILLIANT calling to let you know that you are an idiot. Give me my ability to edit back now or I will take severe action. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ASPISBRILLIANT2 (talkcontribs) 14:19, 29 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

How to make a non-speedy delete entry?[edit]

I am a newbie here and I saw an entry from another company I was involved in so I thought it would be ok to put one up about my current company since it has quite a bit of useful info for allergy sufferrers. The next thing I know it was deleted before I could even add useful info to it.

What kind of stuff makes this any different from other companies that are listed here. I tried to start it off neutral, but even that seemed bad. Any help would be appreciated.

Does a company stub make the difference?

Davetan 14:59, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, excuse you.[edit]

Why, sir did you delete an article that I spent ONE HOUR OF MY PRECIOUS TIME CREATING??? I PUT THE HANG ON TAG ON THERE FOR A REASON!!! I WAS STILL EDITING. THIS IS NOT A VERY KIND THING TO DO AS I AM NOW EXTREMELEY AGITATED AND ANGRY AT YOU. Please try to be a little nicer. Get back to me on this IMMEDIATLEY. Your impolite antics are making me quite mad. I want to create this article for an artist, who would LIKE to be SHOWN TO THE GREATER BODY OF PEOPLE! DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND, MR. NWLIN? Please, make me change my feelings about you. I don't care how many barnstars of dillegence you have gotten, but you are extremley harsh. I am your father. 15:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No "Confidence in Reason"?[edit]

Hello. Concerning your speedy deletion of my article Confidence in reason,

I am fairly new as a contributor to Wiki, so perhaps I did not annotate the fact that I (meaning the Foundation I represent) ARE the content holders for the content I posted. I am the webmaster of the site you reference. I state this fact on my user page. Perhaps RATHER THAN using speedy deletion you could have perhaps ... contacted me or flagged the page for comment. I have posted the email regarding ownership of copyright to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org.

Since you were so helpful in speedily deleting this page perhaps you could assist me in how to UNDO your speedy delete.

50,000+ external pages and still not "notable"[edit]

Thanks for for quick reply as to why my entry was deleted.

Just want to say that maybe you might consider being a little slower to pull the trigger in general. I mean my submission was deleted before I even had time to edit and add "notable" info references.

Part of the reason I even spent time submitting is that with a quick search on Google the company shows up over 50,000 times on other sites. About 5,000 are internal pages ie. on the company site.

No doubt many of them are advertising or affiliate type links. This makes it hard to find the non-commercial information. Articles etc. which I thought would work better on Wikipedia. Guess I was wrong. Well live and learn ... I'll head elsewhere where my time is better spent.

Resurrection of dead race horse[edit]

User:Secondontheroad has just recreated the dead race horse article, again. I posted this "editor" as a sockpuppet of User:runningcupcake03, but nobody has said or done anything since I did so. --Orange Mike 19:24, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx for speedy action. --Orange Mike 19:27, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Should the article be salted, in case another sockpuppet appears? --Finngall talk 19:37, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Salt, perhaps?[edit]

(I figured I'd just tell you about this, since you're here right now.) The page Heather whalen should probably be salted -- check out the deletion log: [4]. Pinball22 20:24, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aldon[edit]

Hi Nawlin Wiki, Thank you for your message left on my talk page explaining why you deleted my article on Aldon from Wikipedia. I am truly puzzled, however. I tried to model my article on other similar articles such as

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MKS_Inc.

The MKS article and many others like it seem to be accepted by editors, and I don't quite understand the distinction. It would be a great help to me if you could explain to me the difference. In the mean time, I will continue to try to make the article on Aldon encyclopedic because I feel it is an important contribution to Wikipedia. Every day people turn to Wikipedia for information on ... much that is under the sun, including companies.

Aldon is a noteworthy company because, founded 25 years ago, it was one of the first organizations to try to make software development into a process and the first to develop tools to assist developers with creating high quality software. Aldon brought the concept of total quality management previously used in automaking to software, and that contribution has made a significant difference to the role of the developer and the quality of software today.

Any light you can shed will help me greatly. Thank you.

JavaChecker[edit]

Why JavaChecker was deleted ? This is tool for Java source code analysis, references from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tools_for_static_code_analysis. Analogical pages exists for other tools, such as FindBugs or PMD. Also exists cited publications about one. So, please tell me: why article for JavaChecker was deleted (?) I think that this is error and it must be recreated. Are exists some formal procedure of conflict informing ? If yes, and you think that this article still must be deleted, please, start one.

Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing[edit]

I posted the lyrics for this portion of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room just as the lyrics for the Hawaiian War Chant are on that page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaiian_War_Chant), yet mine were deleted. Why? You seem to delete a lot of things. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tericson (talkcontribs) 00:41, 2 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]
