I like your outline so far, maybe think about looking into specifically the catholic church and how the change in pope has affected the catholic views on christianity. Also think about focusing on one specific aspect of abortion for something to add to the article maybe just focus on a couple of different denominations of Christianity and how they view it. I think you have a very strong outline so far. I would just say make sure that you write the article very neutral and unbiased, since I know that can be difficult with such a controversial topic such as abortion. I think talking about what the bible says specifically is a good idea, and maybe focusing on a few main religions and their views on abortion based on what the bible says.
