April 2015[edit]

Hi Naytz; it's pretty obvious that the article isn't a joke. Just as we don't need jokes in the mainspace, we don't really need links to jokes, either. Josh Milburn (talk) 09:44, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The world is full of very confused people. That said, April Fools' Day is well and truly over, now- we certainly don't need the link to the joke any more. Josh Milburn (talk) 16:42, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

J Milburn, true enough. --  :) Naytz (talk) 16:46, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Noise Pollution in Cave of The Patriarchs[edit]

"Israeli authorities have placed restrictions on calling the faithful to prayer by the muezzin of the Ibrahimi mosque. The order was enforced 61 times in October 2014, and 52 times in December of that year. The reason given is that the call to prayer bothers Jewish settlers in the city." (from the Cave of the Patriarchs article). This text is unbalanced. It fails to recognize the counter points raised here. I am reluctant to fix this myself because of my inherent conflict of interest as a supporter of Jewish access to the Machpella Cave. Could someone please correct this? (I put this message on the article talk page but except no response as it doesn't seem to be watched) Naytz (talk) 00:52, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is not the proper place to be making an edit request on an article. If you wish to get something changed, you should post on the talk page of the article in question, which will allow editors who have an interest in the topic to weigh in on the suggestion. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 01:26, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

In addition, as a result of a recent ruling, all anonymous IP editors and accounts with less than 500 edits and 30 days tenure are prohibited from editing any page that could be reasonably construed as being related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. RolandR (talk) 00:33, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
