Green Apple Books & Music[edit]

Hello there. My name is Nicholas Buzanski and I have recently become a user here. I noticed that under Independent Bookstores that there were quite a few but not Green Apple Books & Music which has been in the same location for 40 years. I always see it being voted best Used and Independent Bookstre in the Bay Area by The San Francisco Bay Guardian, SF Weekly, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Magazine. It is a staple in the Richmond District, San Francisco, California which is another link. When I tried to create an entry for this store. You deleted it and then I realized I had done it wrong. I could not find the way to request the page. I have since gone to Green Apple and got some historical information from them. How do I make this work.

Independent bookstore

Hi Nicholas. All articles need to meet Wikipedia's guidelines for notability. Here it is in a nutshell:

A company, corporation, organization, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, independent of the subject and independent of each other. The depth of coverage of the subject by the source must be considered. If the depth of coverage is not substantial, then multiple independent sources should be cited to establish notability. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. Once notability is established, primary sources may be used to add content. Ultimately, and most importantly, all content must be attributable.

Thank you for putting the page back up. I am trying to edit now and get everything set. Sorry for my bumbling. I didn't mean to add it the first time, I was just trying to preview it. License tagging for Image:Greenapplebookstore.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Greenapplebookstore.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. re: Green Apple picture licensing[edit]

Hi there Fang, I read through the How to Upload an image and about the copyright problems. I was told that I can use a photo that is on the Green Apple Website that was taken by Kevin Hunsanger. I know that I need to give him credit, link to the website, and allow it to be approved. What do I put in the Licensing section?

But since you already uploaded a free, similar picture, would you like Image:Greenapplebookstore.JPG deleted? There doesn't seem much point it keeping it around.
