'''Those Were The Days''' (or '''TWTD''' for short) is an independent [[Association Football|football]] [[fanzine]] dedicated to [[Ipswich Town F.C.|Ipswich Town Football Club]]. It was first created in 1990 by Paul Stephens who edited the first 23 issues. In 1993, control of the publication changed hands to Gavin Barber and Phil Arnold for nine issues before it was taken over by Stephen Mellen and Philip Ham in 1995.

The present-day fanzine, still edited by Philip Ham, contains articles submitted by voluntary contributors as well as some regular writers, as well as interviews with club figures usually carried out by Ham. The publication is well-known for its amusing covers, designed by Dan Thomas, which are often parodies of films and popular culture reflecting recent news at the club. For example, the cover of Issue 81 featured a parody of the film [[Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl]]. This issue was released during the [[2005-06 in English football|2005-06 season]] in which Ipswich had suffered throughout from persistent injuries (to strikers in particular), hence the spoof title "Strikers of the Town: The Curse of the Crocked Front Men" and images of Town's leading 2005-06 strikers [[Nicky Forster]], [[Sam Parkin]], [[Alan Lee (footballer)|Alan Lee]] and [[Danny Haynes]] in pirate costumes.

There is a website of the same name which was created in 1995. The site, run by Ham, along with technical editor Gavin Wilding since 1996, is part of the [http://www.rivals.net Rivals.net] sport network. It originally featured stories from the latest issue of the fanzine, but now includes columns, fan polls and unofficial Ipswich Town news, often well ahead of the mainstream media and the official website. The hugely popular Message Board is legendary amongst Town supporters near and far. There is also a section of the site for subscribers to the fanzine featuring online versions of current and previous issues.

Editor Ham has also written a column for a daily Ipswich newspaper, the Evening Star, for the past nine years.
