Vanessa-Mae[edit]

Please read the Talk:Vanessa-Mae page. As I said over there, the discography list should be restored, and all the detailed info on each album should go into their own articles. Since we're not allowed to revert more than 3 times or so in a short period of time, even when it's actually necessary, I guess I will have to either wait for someone else to do it, or wait for you to restore the Vanessa-Mae article yourself. It doesn't look very good as it is now. Maver1ck 20:46, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi -- while your enthusiasm is welcomed, I would like to suggest that you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia customs and article style. For example, the articles you created for Vanessa-Mae albums really had little to no content and were improperly named, so I have deleted a lot of them. tregoweth 06:00, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright issues[edit]

Hi there! It seems you have been having some issues with copyrights. A few of the articles that you have created have been flagged as copyright violations. I noticed that you removed the tags on several occasions and stated the source for the text. Unfortunately, we still cannot keep copyrighted text on articles even if the source is given. The Wikipedia:Copyrights page gives some good info about all of this.

You'll notice on the tagged pages, there is a link that says "follow this link to a temporary subpage". You certainly seem to be a fan of Vanessa Mae, so feel free to write about the album on that subpage in your own words. In about a weeks time, an administrator will remove the copyright tag and delete the copyrighted edits and replace it all with the version that is in the subpage. If you want to know how to write a great article on an album have a look at some of the albums listed here (but these articles are the best of the best when it comes to album articles).

All the best...if you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to write to me on my talk page. Thank you :-) Akamad 10:57, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vaanetae4.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thuresson 15:57, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Vanexa.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vanexa.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
