Welcome to Wikipedia. Your test on the page St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra worked, and has been removed. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing and its related help page for more information. Thank you. Mikaey, Devil's advocate 07:58, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed that you placed an {{editprotected}} template on the page St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra. That template is used on the talk page of a page that is fully protected, to signal that you want to make an edit. Because St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra is not protected, and because the template should not be placed on an article, I have removed it. If you want to request protection for the article, go here and post a request. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 08:00, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:

Are you trying to block them entirely? If they are making helpful edits or edits in good faith, I don't think there should be any reason to block them. If they are vandalizing the page in excess, you can read Wikipedia:Requests for page protection to learn how to request that the page be protected (you simply can't just add a protection template to a page yourself). An administrator will read the request and determine whether or not the article is to be protected. Hope this helps. - SoSaysChappy (talk) 08:52, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just took another look at the article and noticed that your username matches the name of the school's principal. If the info in the article is correct, I'm left to wonder if you are indeed the principal of this school. If you are, and inquiring as to how you can prevent your school's students from editing Wikipedia through certain IPs, that is something with which I am unfamiliar. You may have to take a different approach, and contact an administrator (Wikipedia:List of administrators), though I highly doubt they take preventative measures based on an individual request of another editor (there might be some rare exceptions in certain cases...anyway, they can certainly block an IP or user account that is only being used for vandalism). - SoSaysChappy (talk) 09:35, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
P.S., You might want to read WP:COI before making further edits to the article.
