Hermann Loew[edit]

That is very interesting. Most of what I know about Loew I discovered during research into the Irish entomologist Haliday [1] If you go to this page and then to Wikisource you will find letters fom AHH to Loew -direct link is [2].I have access to photocopies of letters from Loew to AHH but do not read German and they are of course handwritten. They are not, therefore translated which would be very interesting.I can, I hope, provide copies. The Naturkunde museum in Berlin holds the Loew collection and some documents but I do not know if letters are included.I have never written to the museum or archive in Mesritz [3] also a possible source. My email is robertnash1945@yahoo.co.uk Talk to you soon Robert (Nash F.R.E,S)Notafly (talk) 14:12, 12 March 2012 (UTC) PS. Baron Osten-Sacken [4] gives an account of Loew [5] but it is very biased and unfair.[reply]
