Edits to bird[edit]

I changed back your edits to bird, and I thought I'd explain why. Although we are required to edit neutrally that does not mean that competing theories have to be given equal weight, especially when one theory is almost universally accepted. The therepod theory of bird origins is almost universally accepted, to the point where some editors wanted to remove references to the other (basal archeosaur) theory. The alternate theory is mentioned in the article, but not given undue weight as it represents a minority position. It is included for completeness. The intro - which is supposed to summarise concisely the contents of the article, doesn't need to include minor details like that, or make it sound like the other theories hold equal weight. I hope this helps. Sabine's Sunbird talk 23:47, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You should come hang out with us on the internetz![edit]

Hi! I wanted to let you know that we have created an IRC channel for "countering systemic bias one new editor at a time", aka closing the gender gap! Come hang out at #wikimedia-gendergap if that subject interests you. We hope this channel can serve as a safe haven to hang out, talk about Wiki, brainstorming, increasing women's participation in Wikimedia, article alerts and foster friendships. I hope you join us! (And if you need any IRC help, just let me know!) See you there! SarahStierch (talk) 22:20, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
