External links[edit]

Hi! This account appears to exist only to add links to a specific web site to Wikipedia. I'm afraid that this is not within the rules; no matter what the value of the link may be, if you are here to promote that web site, you fit our definition of a spammer. If you're interested in helping improve the encyclopedia, you could try adding content to the articles, but you shouldn't make any more links to that site. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:26, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

October 2007[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Lauren Berlant. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Geoffrey R. Stone. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Malika Zeghal, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from all of Wikipedia. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:32, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for promoting web site in defiance of the external links guidelines; ignoring warnings. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.
