Welcome to Wikipedia, Newtonfilm! Thank you for your contributions. I am DRAGON BOOSTER and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! DRAGON BOOSTER 08:15, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. kingboyk (talk) 20:00, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not abuse the help-me template. --Yamla (talk) 22:02, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have this username for over 3 years and edited several Wiki pages in Dutch NL with that. It doesn't make sense why someone called kingboyk starts to blocks me now. At least people can verify a name like mine. Someone (I don't have a clue who) put the Wiki page 'Sheep Hero' up half a year ago. It wasn't very correct and lacking much crucial information. I only added valuable and correct information with references and added a description and a poster. All the rights are owned by me. Also from the images and the poster and they can be downloaded for free online. see https://newtonfilm.nl/films/sheephero/#tab-4c7a31cc42c9d4a56f5 So please restore the valuable information I added and start bothering bad guys who place wrong incorrect information. If all of you insist, I can start a new username but don't see the the point. Thank you very much for your understanding. Newtonfilm (talk) 21:55, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Each language version of Wikipedia has different rules. Your username may have been appropriate on NL, but isn't appropriate here I'm afraid. WP:USERNAME has more information. Yamla (talk) 22:04, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Okay I will start a new account. I will delete this account, but can somebody, please restore the data I added? There is nothing wrong with that. (Newtonfilm (talk) 22:25, 22 January 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Information provided there includes how to ask other editors to edit a page for you by using the {{request edit}} or by posting a note at the COI noticeboard. Also you must declare your connection to the company from your new account. If you prefer, you can ask to have this account renamed and unblocked. --kingboyk (talk) 22:40, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'd like to have this account unblocked and renamed to something you think is appropriate. About the request edit: I already had written my suggestion and added the poster etc. So can you kingboyk restore the information you deleted, or is it all gone now? If it's gone, i'll leave the page wrong as it is, and lacking information, because I can't declare my connection with myself. This is not constructive at all and I do have better things to do. (Newtonfilm (talk) 22:54, 22 January 2020 (UTC))[reply]

"I can't declare my connection with myself" - According to your website, Newtonfilm is a company/organisation/brand, and not a personal alias. Therefore, assuming you are the founder, you could go with your real name, or "Ton at Newtonfilm", or something else entirely. Just let us know with a new unblock request what name you would like to use. If Newtonfilm is a personal alias and you and only you, you might want to update your website ;)
I am not aware that I have personally deleted any of your contributions. I see only this reversion by @Lugnuts: discuss that with them.
I'll add a COI declaration for Sheep Hero for you now to speed things up. If there are other articles you have a conflict of interest on you can declare those later.
"This is not constructive at all and I do have better things to do." Quite. Dealing with conflict of interest accounts is a waste of my volunteer time too, but if nobody did it Wikipedia would be a cesspit of self-promotion (more than it already is). --kingboyk (talk) 23:14, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Lugnuts: kingboyk, was so kind to point me at the revision that was made. It appeared you removed the things I had added. Can you please clarify, what is wrong with these changes I made? I corrected a capital letter of a Newspaper (Volkskrant), I added the poster of the film and I added a 1 sentence description about the film. Why do you mark that as spam? It's useful information. Can you please undo that (or adapt it a bit, so it is not spam according to you)? I don't mind to do it, but I understand now I am not allowed because of conflict of interest. It's fine to leave the festival selections and awards out if you feel those facts are spam too. (I could also put more references in, if needed.) It wasn't my idea to start this page, but the very tiny article now only states that the film didn't achieve to go to the Oscars, while it doesn't mention anything of all the successes. 1 other question. For a long time there is a Dutch Wikipedia page about me as a person. I used to think I could just make a translation once to English (with only the basic facts.) But there is no English page about me yet and I now understand all languages are separate organs. So a new page would need to be created. I suppose when I'd do it, I'd be banned again. So do I have to ask someone like you to do this?
