I just went through the process of creating a another user account to double-check if I missed the prompt or link to any username-related guidelines. During the process I could not find any mechanism where the website advised, displayed or directed me to any policy regarding the what and why of how a user should establish an username BEFORE creation. Please explain how a user is supposed to understand these guidelines during the signup process?

The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Hello,

The impression that you have is incorrect. Given the content in question on this page, there is no "promotion" here and the content on this page does not promote the selling of any services. I was asked by the entity of who this content pertains to and represents, to correct previously provided incorrect information that was on this page. In summary my edits are FACTUAL updates to this content. I have not received any "compensation" to make these indisputable factual edits to this content.

That is not at all what this notice is about. Who is Nexgen Media, what is your relationship to Nexgen Media, and what is Nexgen Media's relationship with Capitol Crossing? Because if you are a compensated employee of Nexgen Media, monetarily or otherwise, and Capitol Crossing is a paid client of this company, then you are receiving compensation for your edits and need to disclose this or face being blocked from editing.

You also need to address the concern above regarding your username or, again, you risk being blocked as organizational usernames are not permitted. Finally, in none of your edits have you added any references so whether your changes are truly factual is very much nebulous at this time. Uhai (talk) 05:03, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My affiliation with Capitol Crossing is non-contractual and I did not receive andy compensation for these edits. I have a friend that works at this company who asked for my help because they needed to make these updated and they are not-web savvy. As stated in the edit reasoning field, I made these edits on their behalf and this is 100% their narrative. If you really want to continue down the path of trying to discredit my intentions and the factual basis of these edits, please review the version history (assuming that Wikipedia has this functionality) and then feel free to call the company to validate. I am not going to provide any more commentary on this topic.

If you want to block the NexGen.Media account please go ahead. I have also personally donated to Wikipedia several times over the years and given how you have approached these communications with me am unlikely to do so again in the future. Thank you for the clarification, though you have not answered what your affiliation with NexGen Media is and what NexGen Media's relationship with Capitol Crossing is. Unfortunately we don't add companies' narratives to their own articles here as information must be supported by reliable sources that are independent from their subject. You or Capitol Crossing simply stating the edits are factual does not necessarily make them so.
