COI[edit]

You stated that you are in compliance with policy, but I do not see where you have made the formal COI declaration per WP:COI. If you are not paid or compensated in any way, you don't need to comply with WP:PAID, but you still need to declare a COI. This is usually done on your user page(User:Nickremsen). If you have any questions, please ask. 331dot (talk) 20:53, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Got it. I thought it was only "in discussion" (such as on a platform like this). I will update, thank you for flagging.

Doing it in discussion is certainly helpful, as not everyone looks at your user page, but the more open you are about it, the less criticism you will get about it. 331dot (talk) 21:03, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse[edit]

Hello. The purpose of the Teahouse is to allow new and inexperienced editors to learn by asking questions, and for more experienced editors to answer them. Another important function is to allow inexperienced editors to search for and read questions and answers in the archive. This is an important learning tool.

I took the time to write a detailed answer to your question and so did another volunteer. You tried to delete our conversation from the record. You may not realize it but this is disrespectful of our volunteer work. Never try to delete a policy compliant conversation with other editors. If a discussion violates policy (and this one didn't), then an administrator has the authority to delete it and suppress it. Thank you. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 02:43, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nickremsen! You created a thread called What to do when an article is deemed more of an advertisement than an encyclopedia entry... at Wikipedia:Teahouse, but it has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days. You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please create a new thread.
