I'm writing this list in the spirit of an old article, "List of unsolved problems in Egyptology", which was deleted in 2007 for having vague inclusion criteria. The list presented numerous questions that could only be answered through opinions and points of view (i.e. Was King Khufu a good ruler or a tyrant as later tradition described him? Who was the victor at the Battle of Kadesh? Was the First Intermediate Period of Egypt really a Dark Age? Who was Labaya of the Amarna Letters and was he a biblical figure (such as Saul or Mesha)?). Here I propose a new article with a narrower scope, but with strict inclusion criteria. This new list should care to mention artefacts, buildings, and bodies that are known to have existed (or have a high probability of past existence) and for which it is not unreasonable to think that they might still be extant (but undiscovered) today.

I hate this article title as much as you do, but I couldn't find a word general enough to encompass bodies, artefacts, and buildings. Other bad names I've thought about include "List of undiscovered Ancient Egyptian items" and "List of undiscovered things in Ancient Egyptian archaeology".
