Thank you as well[edit]

Thank you kindly for your generous praise of the Balzac article. If you're interested, you might consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject_Balzac. There are three participants listed, but I'm the only one who's really done anything in the past two months.

I'm glad you corrected the capitalization, because I was wondering about that. It's good to have an authority set me straight. I'll go through at some point and fix the capitalization of other books in the article and the Balzac project. (La Peau de Chagrin should be La Peau de chagrin, right?)

Meanwhile, I'm a bit stuck on how to name the pages for M. de Balzac's books. The Wikipedia convention for naming articles is WP:UE – Use English. (This includes book titles.) Some editors, though, use the original French titles. Most of the pages about books by Flaubert use English translations, although the article for Madame Bovary is not titled Mrs. Bovary. Books by Victor Hugo are split – some page titles are English translations, some are in French.

It's all very confusing. It has more to do with Wikipedia's conventions than actual French or English standards, so please don't think I'm asking you to solve this. Just thought you might want to be aware of the situation.

Thanks again and welcome to Wikipedia. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know. You might also find some of my ramblings at wikithoughts useful. Cheers! – Scartol · Talk 23:45, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice you've got the "This user published a book" userbox. What's it (they?) on? Is it in English? – Scartol · Talk 18:31, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did miss your response; thank you kindly. It sounds like an interesting book. Cheers. – Scartol · Talk 18:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have recently started the article Yankee Doodle Coffee Shop. Since you are listed in the category Yale Alumni, I thought you might be interesting in contributing to the article. Thanks. Yilloslime (t) 22:44, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A new Oxbridge user box[edit]

Nielspeterq...I am currently in the process of writing a user box for all of the colleges that are part of Oxbridge. This template is meant to replace your current college template. Please take a look at the work in progress and comment on it. My main concerns are college abbreviations and color choice. I am using scarf colors for the colleges. Thank you. - LA @ 18:15, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hej![edit]

Tak for din tid! Mike H. Fierce! 08:06, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Isabelle de Charrière[edit]

Hello Nielspeterqm, Could you write/translate an article about Isabelle de Charrière 1740-1805 at the Danish Wikipedia? That would be appreciated. There 're existing two Danish translations in 'Anebilleder en antologi om otte kvindelige for fattere. - København, Hønsetryk,1980. (Le Noble (Den højadelige) og 'Mistriss Henley') and several potrait paintings and a drawing of her by Jens Juel. Hope you can do it or find some other Danish Wikipedian to do it.
