March 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 13:18, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request you to go through the content added once, before reverting it back for Panshet Dam
I am still trying to understand why is there a need to remove additional information being put up. The information was the list of attractions around a place and is based on actual experience/information around the area.
I can still understand the citations being mistaken as my affiliation with the brand but I see multiple travel blogs being referenced in multiple wiki pages. Below are some of the examples.
Tripoto: Devkund Waterfall
Amazing Maharashtra: Kamshet
I am just getting used how things work around here. Nikhil0189 (talk) 14:40, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia must be written neutrally, it is not a place to advertise or link spam. If you have seen other inappropriate sources used elsewhere on the Wiki, that is a reason to remove or replace those sources, not to add more bad sources. MrOllie (talk) 14:45, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
2 questions here
  1. Can I still add the content back without citations?
  2. Can I remove the citations to other travel blogs? Thanks in Advance

1) No, advertising, with or without citations, is inappropriate. 2) I cannot possibly answer this without knowing what specific links you're talking about. You can raise external linking issues at WP:ELN. If you have general questions about Wikipedia or how it works, please ask them at WP:TEAHOUSE. MrOllie (talk) 14:53, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
