Hello, I'm CASSIOPEIA. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Clement Spiette, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:05, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, NikoK98. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Clement Spiette, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ 20:18, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Third-party sources

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you were editing an article about your great-grandfather. Normally, I would warn you about conflict of interest, but I see Jeff has already done that. I do notice, however, that you haven't been providing sources for your edits- you say you know it, but unfortunately that falls into the category of original research, at least by Wikipedia's definition. Unfortunately, Wikipedia does not want what you can tell us off the top of your head. Wikipedia only wants what other, independent sources can tell you. -A lainsane (Channel 2) 17:54, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
