January 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Vienna. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. --ELEKHHT 04:06, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Vienna. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bbb23 (talk) 21:54, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know how to unblock please help — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikolaserbboy1995 (talkcontribs) 23:39, 3 January 2015
Copy and paste the "unblock" code posted above, and substitute "your reason here" with your own words explaining why you should be unblocked. –Chase (talk / contribs) 00:54, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Eeh Chasewc91 tomorrow I can be edited at 21:53 because Bbb23 has me happily blocked me eeh you must blocking Elekhh because he have changed nationalities in vienna demographics while it is not good I have changed there but that was good please

Just out of curiosity because you keep using it over and over again, what does "eeh" mean? I know you have problems with the English language, but I thought I'd ask about this one item.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:51, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bbb23 please what I have put in vienna demographics of nationalities is true you just go to that site and then you see it it's true really am not lying man — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikolaserbboy1995 (talkcontribs) 5 January 2015‎

You should read carefully what I wrote you. If you want to contribute constructively to Wikipedia than learn about its content policies and formatting guidelines. If you want to write about demographics, than learn the difference between country of birth, ethnicity and citizenship. --ELEKHHT 22:37, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bbb23 let me edit again but I will not continue with vienna demography what I've written on vienna demography was true but I can give you that site where I found that site I've found that it's a german site you just need to look carefully where it is okay and when you get to that site go down and click Bevölkerung am 1.1.2014 nach detailliertem Geburtsland und Bundesland the site name is http://www.statistik.at/web_de/statistiken/bevoelkerung/bevoelkerungsstruktur/bevoelkerung_nach_staatsangehoerigkeit_geburtsland/index.html

Information icon Hello, I'm Amortias. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Greeks, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Amortias (T)(C) 20:29, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Greeks. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Amortias (T)(C) 20:38, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Greeks. Amortias (T)(C) 20:46, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • When you claim a population figure that is not present on the page you cited, you're adding unsourced data. —C.Fred (talk) 21:21, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You have been warned repeatedly that you need to provide a reliable source both by myself and other editors. You have been blocked once before for editing in this area in teh exact same fashion that you are editing in again now. I strongly suggest you self revert your last change as you are well past the WP:3RR line in the sand. Amortias (T)(C) 21:46, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have reported you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring; expect a longish block coming your way soon. Just in case, I'm also notifying you of the existence of "discretionary sanctions", which will likely be invoked to place you under a long-term topic ban or similar measures if you continue editing like this; see standard notification text below:

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Balkans, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

This message is informational only and does not imply misconduct regarding your contributions to date.
