Age category
[edit]Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:
- Using an age group category, such as Category:Wikipedians in their 30s
- Using a decade category, such as Category:Wikipedians born in the 1970s.
If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 12:49, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
re: Picture removal at My Turf War
[edit]I HAVE since seen the episode. The difference is that the picture spoils, WITHOUT A SPOILER WARNING. A picture is worth a thousand words, and if you are putting that picture at the top of the page then those words are rather blatant. Honestly, I don't think there is ever a good time for THAT picture. The spoiler warning exists for a reason. To quote Wikipedia:Spoiler warning
I could't find a specific mention of images on the page, but I think this fits as well as anything. Sure, the article should contain a pic, but I do not see the need for that picture depicting something that occurs in the last two minutes of the program and is rather important to the continuing narrative of Scrubs. Comments
[edit]Re Mikecraig talk page, the reason they've survived in many cases is they haven't been nominated. The choices are to make the community aware of them or to nominate them yourself. They then get subjected to the same guidelines and tested against them. Orderinchaos 23:19, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- There is plenty more lists less "worthy" and "notable" that should be looked at for review. --Mikecraig 23:37, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi. This is a reminder to people on the Melbourne meetup participation list that the next meetup has been arranged for 19 June. Could you indicate on the meetup page your likely attendence, or otherwise. Regards. - Cuddy Wifter 00:23, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Get This Guests
[edit]Do you feel "List of guest hosts on Get This" was deleted too quickly? No consensus was reached - what can be done about this? Gnangarra just decided to delete it, citing CRUFT - which is not a policy. Stu 02:51, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I do feel that this was the case. However, there was some limited debate on a discussion page somewhere (can't think where - maybe articles for deletion or something like that) where most people seemed for for deleting. I was surprised that MikeCraig was for it, since he was the main contributer. --Ninevah 03:10, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- I was getting a bit tired of trying to justify things...the other page that was deleted was the notable events...etc for Get This and there was a few people to support but did not get enough people up to keep it. One thing I am finding is there is articles being deleted without any/very little notice without discussion (such as the ones in question here). --Mikecraig 03:24, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Honestly, I thought that the list of Guest Hosts was fairly harmless. I thought there were far worse articles that exist that ought to be deleted - and continue to exist without debate - than this one. I don't have the time or effort required to fight a battle against somebody who has already decided what they're going to do. My gripe, that's life. --Ninevah 05:11, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Agree with you there...one thing I am trying to do is to make articles "notable" and worthy of keeping. --Mikecraig 05:25, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

- The Guest Host article was 1/2 for 1/2 against. Wikipedians shouldn't have to put up with 'bullies' clearing out reasonable articles as and when they feel like it. That information will be impossible to rebuild, should anyone want to. Stu 02:40, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Really? I thought it was more slanted towards the "against" pile. So - if what you're saying is true, Stu, what can be done about it? Who gets this kind of complaint? Can the decision be reversed? Anyone care to do it? --Ninevah 04:58, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- 5 v 6 Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_guest_hosts_on_Get_This. I guess we can get it reversed - I believe pages go to a 'Recycle Bin' for a little while. Do you think it is worth it? Stu 02:52, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- If you've got the time, Stu, you can do it! :) --Ninevah 03:36, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Get this - redirect
[edit]I came across Get this article which had a suss redirect to Assembly of Albania. Caused confusion if you do a search for get this and instead of getting the Get This radio article you got the other - I have nominated for AfD, did you want to vote for delete also? --Mikecraig 01:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. Have voted for delete too. --Ninevah 02:51, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Re: Lance & Anne Wilkinson
[edit]Lance was know as Lance Hails when he was first introduced and his father, Bill appeared periodically between 1995 and 1999.
When Lance became a full-time regular, Toadie (who'd not long been in the show) asked him he was part of the new Hails family. Lance answered that they were the Wilkinsons (opting to take Ruth's maiden name following her divorce from Bill). Hope this clears things up! Conquistador2k6 13:35 1 July 2007 (UTC)

The article Jason Stephens (film producer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable film producer. Founder of a non-notable company, winner of a very minor newspaper "award". Unrelated to the notable Jason Stephens (television producer)
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 00:18, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
