Welcome to Wikipedia, Nmentha! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

Baha'i template[edit]

I noticed you were adding and changing the Báha'í template. I just wanted to say that it was a problem bothering me for a long time, how to work with having a picture on the top of the page, and the template.

I like what you did on the Báb's page. and I tried something new on the International Teaching Centre page. there's a third option on the main Baha'i Faith page, but you have to look at the source because there's code on how to align the pictures.

Sorry for kinda backing up all your hard work, but I think having a bunch of small pages, when things can fit into one big page is better. Image copyright problem with Image:Cic-am2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cic-am2.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Thanks for uploading File:Bahai administration 2006.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

The availability of a replacement (where a free photo can still be taken) isn't really relevant to the deletion process. There also isn't really any sort of grandfathering that exists. The old image page description ("Seems that author provides free access to public domain and offers for free use through website.") is not sufficiently concrete. Could you contact the copyright holder for an explicit rights release? See WP:CONSENT and WP:OTRS for the process of verification of permission. Calliopejen1 (talk) 14:42, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
