Hello, Nofili, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

LGBT rights in Nigeria

[edit]

Hi! Just a quick note - if you're going to use something from a journal or other publisher that puts out their work under a CC-BY or CC-BY-SA license, you need to attribute it at the bottom of the page with code from this page. In this case you'd use this: {{CC-notice|cc=by4|url=http://www.ahrlj.up.ac.za/ibrahim-am}}, which would show up as this:

This article incorporates text available under the CC BY 4.0 license.

I don't expect you to have known that beforehand, though.

I noticed that the article's content was removed though, by Largoplazo, with the edit summary "Off-topic. This article's about actual details of the condition of LGBT rights in Nigeria, not international court decisions or discussions. See WP:COATRACK." Be cautious when adding content from another source - even if the material is able to be copied, in most cases the content will still need to be adapted to fit Wikipedia's style guidelines.
