Acton Town and other areas[edit]

Sorry for the late reply. Acton Town was built to serve Acton in London. I have also beeen to the area many a time. South Acton estate is actually further south west. Acton itself is located to the north but it is still a distinguishable area that covers the station. Sometimes Google Maps gets it wrong (e.g. thinking Welham Green is North Mymms). Also, there are many roads that span multiple areas. Bollo Lane indeed runs from Gunnersbury, through South Acton all the way to Acton itself but that does not mean that the road is self-contained within South Acton. Many other areas are located minutes' walks from stations built to serve other areas as well.

Although there are cases where a place named does not actually serve that area. Many other maps in Fulham as well as historical records indicate that the centre of Fulham is on or near to Putney Bridge. Indeed the previous name of Putney Bridge station was Putney Bridge and Fulham. The area now known as Fulham Broadway, was named after another road, not Fulham itself.

Many of the areas are focussed around the stations. The coordinates you have been moving them to have placed the aras in the middle of other areas. For example, whilst North Acton does cover a small area of the idustrial estate, the coordinates you have provided are actually in Harlesden. There are also some areas that are across multiple boroughs e.g. Cockfosters, Highgate, Norbury. Simply south...... cooking letters for just 7 years 20:54, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
