Best Young Player Runner-Up honor[edit]

Hi, just wanted to let you know that there is a discussion about the Giovani dos Santos 2010 FIFA World Cup Best Young Player Runner-Up honor at WT:FOOTY. Regards --Bocafan76 (talk) 16:58, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Both players enjoy that mention, in as much he does not define the FIFA that is in second and third place, both enjoyed the same mention, even exists the possibility that both players obtained the same I number of votes .......... that could explain so that both players enjoy that same mention. Thanks for your commentary--Norbit36 (talk) 06:49, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I would like to mention that the so called honor has been removed due to the fact that you didn't care discussing at Footy or at the players article, as to why the non recognized honor should be included in the article. Also please note that other player articles like Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi do not include any runners up/non recognized award/honor. The fact that he was a runner up is worthy of being noted, and that is why it appears in the article itself, but not in the Honors section of the article. Hi,The criterion the International is that the three first places of each competition always were mentioned in the honors list ¿What is the doubt on the matter?--Norbit36 (talk) 07:20, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, please don't continue to add so called honors to the article unless you could find a reference link that states that he actually got some sort of trophy or something similar for being a runner up. Also if you continue using sock-puppets and edit warring you could be block. Regards--Bocafan76 (talk) 15:23, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

1). - Best Young Player Runner-Up they are supposed honors? please it mentions the source where it indicates that to be Best Young Player Runner Up in a competition they are supposed honors! while it does not mention the source, its affirmation is not been worth

2). - The honors are not in force only with a trophy. Other forms exist to give certainty to the honors: mention, graduates, honors list...... mentions the source where it indicates that only the honors will be by trophy! while it does not mention the source, its affirmation will not be been worth

3) - You affirm that I have used puppets, if you makes reference IP, was not my intention to use two routes, simply I reinitiates my equipment and does not verify. Involuntary error

4). - You affirm that I am fighting, I label rather it....I revert contributions to that the source does not mention --Norbit36 (talk) 07:06, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, well I realize that you are a fan of Giovani, but you have to stay neutral and try follow the guidelines of wikipedia. Runner up awards in which a player didn't get some sort of trophy or award are not added to the honors section, a good example of this is Hristo Stoichkovof, twice runner up to the FIFA World Player of the Year award (1992 and 1994) and nothing in his honors section, also if you visit WP:FOOTY, you will see how a Player article is suppose to look like and you will see that in the Honors section there is no runners up awards. By the way I do know that sometimes one could make the mistake of editing without login in, but you have done it more than once with different IP's, also you might not think that you were edit warring, but by Wikipedia's definition of it (edit war occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly override each other's contributions, rather than trying to resolve the disagreement by discussion) that is what you were doing. Hi,

You follow without responding questions 1 and 2, please to mention the sources

Hi, It seems you don't get it or maybe I didn't explain properly. The best young player runner up is worth noting, that's why it already appears in the article on the International career section, but it is not and award thous not an honor to be added on the Honors section. Sure there are a lot of honors that don't get a trophy, but in the case of a graduate they usually receive a diploma (if you are in the same class as a graduate, but don't graduate you are in other words a runner up, is not graduating worth adding to a honors section?), honors list usually give you some sort of award and example of that is the International Federation of Football History & Statistics awards (honors list are pick from a certain amount of players or at times just being a player would make you eligible for consideration. Those that didn't get selected, would be per say runner's up, once again is not being pick in the honors list worth adding to an honors section?), as far as mention I don't think there are any sport articles in wikipedia that have a mention on their honors section, since a lot of times it might fail the Wikipedia:Neutral point of view guideline. I hope this answers all of your questions and by the way you could always open a discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football, if a Wikipedia:Consensus is reached in your favored you could add the Best Young Player Runner-Up to the honors section, also just a reminder in the past a discussing about this was open in WT:FOOTY and you didn't participated, even thou I told you about it, when the discussion was still open. Hi again, I don't have to give you any sources for your two questions, since there is a tacit Wikipedia:Consensus at WT:FOOTY, which states "If a medal or other presentation is made for being runner-up, I would suggest that it should be in the honours section: if not, it shouldn't.", With that in mind the Best Young Player Runner-Up would fail to comply with that consensus. By the way as stated before if you don't like it you could always open a discussion at WT:FOOTY. It would be a good idea that you read the Wikipedia:Five pillars and also try not to be a close minded fanatic, but an objective neutral editor. I hope this helps.
