Welcome!

Hello, Nothingbutmeat, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thanks, and happy editing.

Signatures in edit summaries[edit]

I just thought I'd let you know and save you five extra keystrokes per edit summary: signatures aren't created by ~~~~ in edit summaries, nor are they necessary — the editor who made the change is displayed in both the page history and on the recent changes or new pages lists. You do still need them for talk pages, though! :-) Angus Lepper(T, C, D) 15:16, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting vandalism[edit]

Thank you for your efforts in reverting vandalism on the West Side Story page last month. To save you a bit of effort - you don't need to make a talk page entry every time you revert a vandalism; just noting it in the edit summary is sufficient. You can even do it with 3 keystrokes - rvv is Wiki-shorthand for "reverted vandalism"! -DrGaellon (talk | contribs) 17:53, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IPA[edit]

Thanks for correcting the pronunciation for Þorgerðr Hölgabrúðr and Irpa‎, –Holt TC 22:45, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PS: By the way, you should make yourself a proper user page, every respectable editor has one.

I know, I need to get onto that. I don't know if I'm a respectable editor though... Nothingbutmeat (talk) 22:51, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, you have been here for more than on and a half year, you are a resourceful person, you are conscious and behave well, from what I can tell from your edit history. The only thing you are lacking is a user page ;) Just some basic facts about your main subjects on wikipedia and/or in real life, maybe the languages you understand and some additional information that is relevant to other users. –Holt TC 13:59, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to discuss the IPA there a bit more. Haukur (talk) 14:55, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2015[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Greta Garbo may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • '''Greta Garbo''' (born '''Greta Lovisa Gustafsson'''; ({{IPA-sv|ˈgre:ta lʊˈvi:sa ˈgɵstafsɔn}}; 18 September 1905 – 15

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 14:06, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
