Robert Williams (poet) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Robert Williams (poet), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Lazy editing

[edit]

You very nearly had the page Robert Williams (poet) put up for deletion as it wasn't ready for mainspace. I was about to get it deleted or Draftified when I found you had already created a draft, but then chose to add another copy direct to mainspace. In future, please do not put content into the encyclopaedia without supporting it with a citation to allow others to verify the topic is actually genuine. Work on drafts to make them worthy of an encyclopaedia, and only then get them moved into mainspace. Lucky, I have an more interest in seeing topics on old subjects than all the modern-day garbage we so often see created here, so I did a quick search. You know, the type that you should have done yourself , if you could have been bothered. And I found this significant one within a few seconds, and have added it to the article. Please now use it and work on the article, putting in content in your own words to make the page worthy of Wikipedia. You didn't give any references to even prove that he existed, nor did you even tell us which part of the planet he lived on! This is really lazy editing, and I hope you'll work put more effort into your drafts in future before moving them into mainspace. That said, thanks for bringing an obscure poet a little bit more prominence.Nick Moyes (talk) 00:03, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Notts4422. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "William Edwards".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 13:28, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
