Charles Carstairs
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Carstairs Thanks so much for cleaning up the mess I made of the reference section. I was flying by the seat of my pants with the process, and couldn't figure out how to reverse my mistake. I still need to revise the format for the reference listing, number 19, and will do so when I retrieve the article and exact page number (I was working from a written transcription). I will need some help at that time, since editing the references confuses me. Forgive my lack of expertise with all this, and thanks again. Bix27 (talk) 03:31, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
- OK Bix, just let me know the details when you return to the article: Noyster (talk), 10:13, 12 December 2017 (UTC)

Edits to the "American Judicature Society Page"
Noyster: Thanks for your help on my first edit to an article! I have tried to add citations and replaced most of the citations that were to the organization's website. Is this sufficient to address the the concerns of the template message that is currently on the page?
Also, regarding a possible conflict of interest, I realize now that I perhaps fall into this category. Although I am not being paid to update this article, I am a volunteer for the the organization that the article is about. The original article was created around 2005-06 by a volunteer for the original National American Judicature Society ("AJS"). However, the National AJS went bankrupt several years ago. I am part of the Hawaii Chapter of AJS which is now legally operating as the national organization. We would like to make sure the information about AJS on Wikipedia is up-to-date. Not sure the best way to disclose this conflict in a way that is not confusing. Please advise.

- DanPadillaAtCarlsmith Thank you for this explanation and for updating the article! It appears that our disclosure requirements would be satisfied by adding a notice to the article's talk page stating that you volunteer for that Society. This section advises how to go about it.
- About the article itself: You have done a lot to provide third-party sourcing and I have removed the tag. I've removed the phrases "diverse and broadly based" and "in view of its excellent traditions..." which appeared to be verging on "promotional", something you will need to be extra careful to avoid. Of course if reputable published sources independent of the Society are making an evaluation of its work, this can be mentioned in the article, with references. Oh, and we don't normally include "in-text links". Weblinks central to the article topic can go in the "External links" section.
- You'll be very welcome to continue editing Wikipedia on this or any other topic, and your knowledge and access to sources will no doubt be of great benefit. Feel free to come to this page again if you have any queries: Noyster (talk), 12:57, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
Noyster: Thank you so much for all of your help and encouragment! I will be sure to work on adding the disclosure to the article's talk page today. Sending you the warmest of aloha! DanPadillaAtCarlsmith (talk) 18:04, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

UDA
Hi there. As you contributed to this AfD in which a page I am reviewing was nominated for deletion, could you please check the page I reviewed and confirm that it is indeed the firm that you think is notable enough for inclusion, as well as check for any other issues you think might be outstanding. I think the page is a pass. It would help if you could reply to this message on the talk page of the article, which I am watching. Edaham (talk) 08:46, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Just as a note, categories like Category:Italian films and Category:1980 films are non-diffusing, which means they get included even though they're redundant. It's counterintuitive, and I've done the same exact thing myself. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:15, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation NinjaRobotPirate. I found more details about film categories here, and the category of Wikipedia non-diffusing subcategories which however doesn't seem to include the film ones. Noted that Category:Italian films has a box at the top to inform of this, but Category:1980 films doesn't: Noyster (talk), 12:08, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
- Well, honestly, that's a kind of weird situation. There's a consensus to categorize all film articles in the "films by year" categories and avoid "genre-by-year" subcategories. There's also a consensus to create "horror films-by-year" categories. These are mutually conflicting consensuses, but that's Wikipedia for you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 13:10, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

Sorry but if you wish to insert such claims into Wikipedia, it's for you to do the work to verify them (please see WP:BURDEN): Noyster (talk), 17:42, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

Sorry for mistake but i am new here so can you please give me your Facebook or email — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blessed4nitin (talk • contribs) 18:35, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
- Blessed4nitin I don't think we have anything we need to talk about privately: you may ask me a question here or, to be sure of a quicker response, you could visit the Teahouse. Don't use your user page as if it was Facebook, and don't try to create any more articles about topics until you can show they are notable, then you should be OK.
