Stop adding your site to external links[edit]

Please stop adding your site to the external links of film articles.

See WP:ELNO for a list of inappropriate links. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 19:26, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the issues involved:
  • The external link does not provide a unique resource.
  • You're promoting a website.
  • Stores and social networking sites are not allowed. This site seems to be a combination of the two, with additional content provided by users. User-submitted content is not allowed, either. It must be reviewed by a professional editorial team.
  • The information contained is not relevant. If collectibles were a major part of the experience (eg, a collectable card game or a cartoon based on action figures), this criterion might be satisfied, but the site would still need to be reliable and notable. This site appears to be neither, and, in fact, advertises the fact that it's in "beta".
  • Please see WP:COI and WP:SELFPROMOTE for reasons why you are not allowed to add links to your own website. Also, see WP:LINKSPAM. For help on how to avoid unintentionally running afoul of Wikipedia's policies, see WP:PROMO.
It is difficult to satisfy the requirements for external links. This is by design, to prevent Wikipedia from turning into a collection of links to random websites. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:22, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
