Welcome! (We can't say that loudly enough!)

Hello, Nsimcoff, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might find helpful:

If you have any questions or problems, no matter what they are, leave me a message on my talk page. Or, please come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Please sign your name on talk pages and votes by typing ~~~~; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date.

We're so glad you're here! —hike395 (talk) 10:28, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some other advice ---
  • Certainly, if you want to, please go ahead and start an article about Vogelsang Pass. The closest existing article is High Sierra Camps: you can create a wikilink from that page to Vogelsang Pass by enclosing it with brackets like this: [[Vogelsang Pass]]
  • If you want to add information like elevation, you can add an infobox to the article. Check out {{Infobox Mountain Pass}}. It's not required: if you think it's too complex, someone else (like me) will add it.
  • If you want to upload a photo of the area, you can upload it at Commons:Special:UploadWizard. When you created a Wikipedia account, it should have made a Commons account for you, too, with the same password. There are already quite a few Vogelsang pictures (see [1]), but more are welcome, and you can choose to use your own image or someone else's --- either is fine.
Yay! —hike395 (talk) 10:35, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
