Autobiographies & film titles

You stated on the reference desk that the subject of the article Nicki McFarlane is you. At this point I feel it's important to point out the guideline on Wikipedia about writing your own autobiography.

Also, I normally do various Wikignome-type activities around here. I'd like to point out that if you would like to edit more entries than just your own, film titles as well as the titles for albums, plays, books, and television shows should be in italics. You can do this by putting two single-quotes on either side of the words that you would like in italics. This is in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. It makes all the wikignomes jobs easier if all the editors do these little things instead of leaving them for someone else. Photos

Hi, on the subject of photos, you're saying that either you took them yourself personally, or that the photographer signed the copyright over to you? If so, you need to say that explicitly on each image page, plus choose a free license, such as {{GFDL}} or a Creative Commons license. Note that the free licenses allow non-WP users to use the images, including printed books and such, but that's the price of adding them to a free encyclopedia. Stan 23:44, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
