Re: Thanks!!

[edit]

Hey, I don't think I ever thanked you for your advice on the Linda McMahon page. Thanks!!!

And, forgive me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're a wrestling fan also. Tell me, what is it like now? Do you enjoy the on-screen product that is on now? I'd just love to know from another wikipedian. --Screwball23 talk 00:53, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WWE The Music - A New Day

[edit]

What is the source for this CD? I can find no mention of it on WWE's site or on Amazon (which is a ref flag because you would assume that the company making the CD or the exclusive seller of it would at least mention the existence of it less than 2 weeks before it is supposed to be released). --TJ Spyke 18:50, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any proof that either of those are even real? MySpace proved how easy it is for someone to create an "official" page and make it look real. IF they can be verified to be real, then I think WP:TWITTER would allow them (the same way someone's official Facebook page can be used as a source for them). WWE Online

[edit]

Hello Oakster, I have a question, is it true that the PC game WWE Online was again renamed WWE Smackdown Vs. Online Raw?

Thank you. --189.217.217.246 (talk) 20:02, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ECW

[edit]

That'd be my bad. I mistakenly clicked on the old version while checking over when the missing cite was made. Still my error in the end. Papacha (talk) 00:14, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Category:World Wrestling Entertainment pay-per-views (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for renaming to Category:World Wrestling Entertainment pay-per-view events (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. —Justin (koavf)TCM01:42, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PPV

[edit]

I think for now we should just redirect them to the List of WWE PPV's page. The May event is especially tricky because until today that was supposed to be the new slot for Extreme Rules. I already redirected some of the articles since I knew a new user might. TJ Spyke 21:20, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just took another look. Hmm, I would keep all the current ones in since we don't know what WWE will do with the November spot. Maybe add the new ones in but redirect them. TJ Spyke 21:24, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2010 WWE Draft

[edit]

Say, I know I started the page, are my edits gonna survive the transfer back to a single page once the draft begins?--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 21:04, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Oakster.--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 21:56, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the page, you might want to tidy up the lead/infobox.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:26, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help me Oakster!

[edit]

On List of World Wrestling Entertainment employees, Hixteilchen thinks I'm wrong for changing MVP to Montel Vontavious Porter(MVP) and he thinks MVP's real name is Hassan Assad, not Alvin Burke, Jr.. Can you help me on this one? Thanks in advanced.--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 20:06, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is a FACT, that his ring name is simply MVP. http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/mvp/ We take WWE.com as a source and not the ring announcers. The commentators call him MVP all the time. They call him not one Montel Vontavious Porter. The edit with Hassan Assad may be wrong, but the source said his real name is Hassan Assad. It is a Fact that his ring name is MVP, I would like it if there stands MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter), but NOT Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP). Thank YOU. --Hixteilchen (talk) 20:54, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer granted

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:38, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

/* WWE PPV Infobox change */

[edit]

Hey is the guy from the Brand part in the WWE PPV infoboxes, I think that just because WWE doesnt put it on their introduction, It doesnt mean that is not brand divided, I talk on the conversation you send me and I added the example of Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank, You see if the PPV was just World Wrestling Entertainment (like is now and is on the ppv boxes prior the brand extension), We would have seen only one Elimination Chamber with talent from WWE but we saw 2 Chambers, one with talent from RAW and one form talent from Smackdown and same with MITB, there are 2 diferent matches as well, So in conclusion the PPV's are still divided and WWE knows that we are aware of that so they dont put it on the introduction because is just a waste of time, because we know. So I propose that we put the brand part since Elimination Chamber forward, because is the first PPV since the closing of ECW and it means is just RAW & Smackdown. What do you think? att: kerbymanuel —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kerbymanuel (talkcontribs) 20:21, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need Help

[edit]

Oakster, can you help me with a little situation I got here. For the last month or so, I've been trying to add to the Fox Theater (Atlanta, Georgia) that it will be the host of the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, but the editors of the article are being REAL stubborn and have turned this into an edit war. They say if I add it one more time they'll turn me in for vandalism. I think their bluffing but I can't risk it. Can you help me reason with them.--Nascarking (talk) 04:55, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can't right now

[edit]

Well I'm at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Brickyard 400 today and then I'm heading to Chicago for a couple of days so I'll have to wait till the end of the week to get the page # for you.--Nascarking (talk) 14:42, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Found it

[edit]

Found the page. It's page 69 and it states that the Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place at Fox Theater on April 2, 2011. Now if it's still in the Newsstands or at a gas station, go get it and see if you can reason with the stubborn editors of the Fox Theater (Atlanta, Georgia) article.--Nascarking (talk) 00:29, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Hasn't been discussed that we not supposed to give away results of SmackDown tappings before it's aired. Because someone has given away that Dolph Ziggler's gonna win the IC Title tomorrow even though it hasn't aired.--Nascarking (talk) 19:48, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help me here

[edit]

Oakster can you help me here? I'm trying to do work on a Family Guy article, but CTJF83 (and pardon my language here) is all over my ass. Please can you help me by getting this guy to leave me alone about a mistake I made?----Nascar king 18:44, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Years in professional wrestling categories

[edit]

Hi Oakster: I saw your Category:2010 in professional wrestling in the 2010 root category for the year, whick surprised me. Looking at earlier years; from 1983 to 1989 professional wrestling was a subcat of Category:1989 in wrestling which in turn was a subcat of Category:1989 in sports; which is as I would expect. However from 1990 it is different, so that the Category:1992 in wrestling has only the one subcat Category:1992 in sport wrestling, but not those for professional wrestling. Shouldn’t they all be a subcategory of the appropriate year in wrestling? Hugo999 (talk) 05:15, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Sport wrestling by year category now goes back to 1970, with the category by year added to some World Wrestling Championships from the 1970s. And also 1930; Wrestling has been included in the British Empire/Commonwealth games from the first in 1930 (except for 1990, 1998 & 2006) but only 1930 and 2010 have a separate article about wrestling at that games. The pre-1970 World Wrestling Championships could still be given a tear category, which I might get around to sometime if not done by someone else! Hugo999 (talk) 12:34, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

HELP PLZ!!!

[edit]

Oakster I think I just got myself in an edit war started by The Cleanup Kid. Can you or someone help me deal with this user before this escalates and Admins lock the SummerSlam (2010) page.--Nascar king 22:37, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You started the "edit war", son. Try not being a southern-fried liar and labeling constructive edits as "vandalism". HAND; FYM. The Cleanup Kid (talk) 22:31, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See what I mean. Please help me Oakster?--Nascar king 22:37, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone who looks into this is going to see your harassment, especially the comment you left on my talk page: "Over the past couple of days you've been a real PAIN in the ASS."
In the words of a fine Canadian, "Southern man, better keep your head. Don't forget what your good book says". The Cleanup Kid (talk) 22:40, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Look at you kid. I'm asking a project member of mine for help and you've turned this talk page into an battle zone.--Nascar king 22:42, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
