Fair use rationale for File:Modacity screenshot.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Modacity screenshot.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Killiondude (talk) 05:39, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly advise against calling other editors "ass hole"[sic]; it's a personal attack and may end up getting you in trouble. -Jeremy (v^_^v Tear him for his bad verses!) 21:24, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And I suggest the wonderful editors here at Wikipedia not intentionally try to piss off a 4k-user forum by deleting articles outside of speedy-deletion criteria without a formal review while they're still being edited. But we don't always get what we want. I've been editing articles on Wikipedia both while on this account and while off it for far too long to be harassed by moderators over a missing fair-use rationale for a screenshot of a website a mere four hours after uploading it and while still actively editing the article it is in. OasisGames (talk) 21:33, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, the article in question was deleted under CSD A7 while still being actively edited to include information that would have easily been acceptable. 130.126.58.130 (talk) 21:40, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Modacity logo.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Modacity logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Refections Projections, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:51, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (OasisGames) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to be controlled by a game company, rather than an individual. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:56, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Reflections Projections has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources, no verifiable indication that it meets notability guidelines

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. causa sui (talk) 03:30, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:OasisGames/Compiz-Fusion and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:OasisGames/Compiz-Fusion during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Notice

The article Reflections Projections has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article is unverified and promotional (borderline A7, given the absurd namedropping including some linkspam). Moreover there is no reason to assume (nor any proof given) that this conference organized by a university student organization has any kind of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
