Checker-16x16.png in User:1A72/common.css

Hello 1A72, I have seen that you are using the Checker-16x16.png from the MediaWiki software itself. The file was moved inside the software and you have to use it now from commons: //upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/Checker-16x16.png. For more information about the move see bug 69277. Thanks for the adjust in your css. Der Umherirrende 18:54, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks @Umherirrender

Thanks, do I have to do something now? (On mobile right now, will look more closely later.) I can't remember how I'm supposed to format a reply on here, so this is in a subheading, I think. Three equals signs to your two. 1A72 talk 23:56, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Have read some of that technical stuff

Thanks, I have had a skim thru [1] and found it quite interesting, though I only grasped about 5% of what it said. Should get near a PC tomorrow (Thursday 13 Nov.). 1A72 talk 00:25, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

You should change the urls in your common.css file. Or did you copy that whole file from somewhere? Maybe that location is already fixed and your css just need a new copy.
But you can also replace just the following strings and all is fine for me and the bug:
  • //bits.wikimedia.org/skins/common/images/bullet.gif -> //bits.wikimedia.org/static-current/skins/MonoBook/bullet.gif
  • //bits.wikimedia.org/skins/vector/images/bullet-icon.png -> //bits.wikimedia.org/static-current/skins/Vector/images/bullet-icon.png
  • //bits.wikimedia.org/skins/common/images/Checker-16x16.png -> //upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/Checker-16x16.png

Signature image?

I see from WP:SIGIMAGE that images don't belong in signatures. But what about

<math>

that shows image-like writing? Like this: 23:55, 29 August 2015 (UTC) 23:55, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Two signatures from four tildes

When I signed the section I was adding to a talk page, I used four tildes but somehow ended up signing it twice. Is this normal? Should I omit the tildes, if something else adds them automatically? Thanks! About to sign this with four tildes: Oberbahnhof (talk) 14:03, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

I can't tell what happened on that talk page; generally signatures aren't added automatically, but there are some ways to pre-load an edit window with the four tildes already present; maybe that's what happened here. One way to make sure you have the right number of signatures is to use the preview. On this page adding your signature seems to have worked as intended. Huon (talk) 14:33, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

Doppelganger account

Doppelganger account checking in to parent account's talk page. Uberbahnhof (talk) 17:28, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Confirming this is all okay. Oberbahnhof (talk) 17:33, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Adding that I've created another Oberbahnhof account, after today's renaming, as suggested at WP:CHU. Obahn (talk) 16:30, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Glad I'm not the only one

Been wondering for ages, and now I see others too can't hear these ogg files in articles. [2] Oberbahnhof (talk) 00:26, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
