Hello Oceanuu99. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Oceanuu99. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Oceanuu99|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:20, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @ToBeFree,
I am delighted to connect with you. I want to assure you that my contributions are purely voluntary and aimed at sharing knowledge, particularly about Asian corporations. As a newcomer to Wikipedia, I am keen to absorb the wisdom of seasoned editors on how to ensure neutrality in my citations. I really appreciate your guidance! Oceanuu99 (talk) 02:45, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear ChatGPT, please let Oceanuu99 know that Wikipedia is not for promotion and that an AI-written response to a paid editing inquiry is unlikely to make people less concerned about their editing. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:48, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am a real human and I am not native speaker in English so I use ChatGPT to correct this sentences. And I mean no harm or anything. I don't use AI to write my article. Thanks, I experience how rude Wiki admin can be. Oceanuu99 (talk) 03:27, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand you might have so much pressure reviewing so many submissions every day, but you can be more kind to new user here. You put a lot of unnecessary charges on me. I feel very uncomfortable. Oceanuu99 (talk) 03:37, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am not confident at responsing to English native speakers like you...But I still want to contribute and improve in editing. Believe it or not. Anyway, I don't have any hope that anyone here will believe me right now. Oceanuu99 (talk) 03:59, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your English skill seems adequate to participate here- but if you feel you need an AI to communicate with us, you should edit the Wikipedia of your primary language instead. There is nothing special about the English Wikipedia, it is not better than others. If you do want to participate here, understand that talk page posts are not expected to be grammatically and stylistically perfect. 331dot (talk) 08:06, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Maybe I should be more confident about not relying on AI in the first place. Also, I genuinely thank you for your kind advice. I will surely consider try editing the Wikipedia of my primary language. This is very helpful for me. Also, it's nice to talk to you here. Thanks a lot. Rather to get 1000 killed than to get one missed?

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Request reason:

I am just trying to improve my citation of the "neutral point of view" of Wiki's policies. But I am being assumed that I am just spamming submissions. I need to submit to know if I am doing wrong.

Please if you are truly "friendly" to newcomers. Can you talk and discuss how I can improve my article instead of just blocking me directly? You guys copy and paste these policies. But I am still confused about how to fix my first article, which is normal for every human being still learning. I just started trying to mimic these existing pages. For Real! I understand there are many black hat seos out there who are not good for Wiki, but I don't feel like this place is welcome to newcomers who want to learn how to edit and contribute information.

Is this place rather to get 1000 killed than to get one missed? Just because I am new here with no record and then I am blocked. But how can you have editing experience if no one tells you how to improve? I am disappointed..... Oceanuu99 (talk) 03:18, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

Your edits so far have been about the LIPS Corporation. What is your association with them? 331dot (talk) 08:08, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear admin(s). No, I have NOT been paid by this company in any way. I hope you can understand that I am 100% willing to learn how to edit in a neutral point of view. I just think I have some knowledge about Taiwanese companies because I am from Taiwan and my personal expertise in business. My intention is simple: share these info to many global users, who are not in Taiwan, would somehow need this. However, maybe company pages are a lot harder to create than I expected at first. I think now it's impossible for me to prove myself that I have no relation with this company. Because if admin(s) block me forever without letting me ever have a chance to edit other articles, I have no choice but to only have this one edit record forever. I don't know what I can say at this point. I'm sorry if I am causing admins a lot of trouble. I just want to try something here to see if I can contribute something meaningful here. That's all... Whether admin(s) decide to unblock me or not, thank you all for your patience. I hope maybe one day I will have a second chance. Thank you all very much. Wish you all the best. Oceanuu99 (talk)
If you aren't associated with this company, okay, but why did you select it to edit about? Why this one, but not another?
Creating a new article is the most difficult task to attempt on Wikipedia. It also isn't the only or even best way to contribute. We usually recommend that new users first edit existing articles in areas that interest them, to get a feel for what is expected of article content.
Writing about companies is a common pitfall for new users, because it is easy to do, but it's also easy to make it seem like one works for the company, because new users don't know what is being looked for in terms of article content. 331dot (talk) 10:34, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is no particular reason why I pick this company. Maybe it's sounds stupid and unonvincing, but I just randomly chose a small company, which is close to where I live, so that I can start my editing journey here. Because I am rather familiar with one of these company near me than other companies. Also, I am not confident that I can handle editing some well-known firms with controversial news or scandals. Therefore, I thought this comapny maybe is a good subject to start with. After I see your guidance, I realize that I really did make a huge mistake without knowing it. My sincere apologies. Oceanuu99 (talk) 10:11, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are there any topics other than companies that you might edit about? 331dot (talk) 10:18, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think I can edit business-related, especially marketing-related knowledge. I have studied master degree in Marketing Management field, so I think I can provide some info. I can also help with editing other topics in Taiwan like Taiwanese cuisines etc. Oceanuu99 (talk) 10:34, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oceanuu99, you're not blocked on zh.wikipedia.org, yet list it as your main language on your user page. To me personally, a good demonstration of an actual interest in improving an encyclopedia would be seeing contributions there that don't lead to a block there. And if you then, accustomed to how editing an encyclopedia works, still are interested in also editing the English Wikipedia (without the assistance of AI), then you have a much stronger position for requesting an unblock here. There's no time limit, take your time. I currently don't see how unblocking you on the English Wikipedia would be beneficial. If you want to edit Wikipedia articles about marketing management and Taiwan, you can already do so; please go ahead. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:30, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
