Blargh

Looks like PatPeter is back, and going strong still. Sorry to bother you with this; I really wish this recurring nightmare would end, once and for all. Octane [improve me] 14.01.08 0002 (UTC)

Did you see my recent (re-)post to WP:AN/I [1]? I got little response, and no follow up response once I gave more information.
Anyway, here's a note I left with User:Coelacan:
  • I don't know if you're still currently involved with issues involving this user, but they've become rather disruptive. See User talk:Sox207 and rather specifically at User talk:The Big X for admissions of what they claim was/is going on. since then it's been a stream of IP addresses. See User talk:Gscshoyru for the most current set of disruptions. (Special:Contributions/Pagesock seems to be WP:DENY issues, and is probably the person as well.) I've been reading up on range blocking, as this may be what needs to be done as a "final" step. I'd appreciate your thoughts (and help). - jc37 23:14, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
As far as "back", the user's never left. They're carelessly evading blocks. I think a range block of some type might be in order, but I'm getting mixed answers when I ask about it. Maybe at this point someone may need to contact the IP provider? - jc37 20:40, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Replying here as I assume you want to keep it in one spot(?).
I hadn't seen that, actually; thanks for the link. I'm not really qualified, I think, to comment on what should be done on an administrative level, given my user rights level, but if it's as continuous as you say (I've not kept up with it, having believed it was settled a while ago—bit overly optimistic on my part) then I'd support a range block. And it certainly does appear that way. Octane [improve me] 14.01.08 2106 (UTC)
And the user confirmed it on their talk page [2].
I'm going to do some checking around for someone with a bot who can help revert the edits (edits of an evading user are to be reverted regardless of what the edits are). Else it looks like I have to do it myself. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. - jc37 21:34, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Right, right. I don't know what to do as far as making bots go. I can help you out with reversions and notifications (possibly compilation of lists), but I'm afraid I can't help you in the actual blocking. Have you talked to coelacan, Durova, Alison or ^demon personally? Octane [improve me] 14.01.08 2144 (UTC)
Except for the note to coelacan (which had no response), no. Please feel free to do so.
And yes, I'd greatly appreciate the help you suggest.
I'll make a sub-page for tracking, if that helps: User:Jc37/Tracking/PatPeter (See User:Jc37/Tracking/Pastorwayne for something similar.) - jc37 21:59, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
All right. I'll give them a heads-up tomorrow (well, today in five minutes) then. That tracking page looks like a good idea to me. Octane [improve me] 15.01.08 0456 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the recognition. Sf46 (talk) 03:46, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
