Feedback

[edit]

Hi OffiMcSpin,

It's been a week since I left this welcome and I thought you might appreciate some feedback. First off, it's good to see that you're making a positive contribution to wikipedia and picking up some tips as you go. One immediate thing I can see is that you don't use edit summaries when you make an edit. Have a look at WP:EDSUM to see why it a helpful thing to do.

I've seen that you created Manjit Singh (strongman). It's a really good start for an article. I've gone ahead and tidied it up a bit in the hope you can learn something from it. In hindsight I should have made each change as a separate edit but I hope you can still follow the changes I made and see how it improves the article. There's still lots to do, perhaps you could insert this youtube link as an External link? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ-wruqV8Mk After that the referencing needs improvement, as I've made a few improvements but not done all of them, and it would be good to have a reference for the number of records he holds.

Good luck eith the rest of your time on wikipedia, if you need any more help drop me a line on my talk page. Cheers, Bigger digger (talk) 15:20, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reckless Reverting Re.

[edit]

Hi. May I ask what the comment you left on my talk page was referring to? As in what recent article I reverted that was incorrect? That way I can figure out the reason behind my mistake and make sure it never happens again. Thanks. Sweetness46 (talk) 23:08, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out this mistake. While I do not deny the fact that this was a error on my part, I do feel that "Reckless" is a little harsh, as was your original message. No one likes to have their mistakes pointed out, but I do prefer that to being scolded. Sweetness46 (talk) 19:59, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reckless does by definition mean those things. But perhaps society sees certain words and adds to them a more negative meaning then they truly have, just like I did, and it was for that reason I was upset. And before tallying up my "Reckless reverts," you should read up on them yourself. Two of my reverts were plain careless and I admit that. Another was a simple computer blip which I quickly undid. If you follow up on the other messages left on my talk page you will see that one of them is a user with a history of vandalism trying to discredit my obviously correct revert, and another is a angry newcomer mad that I reverted his uncited work. Not to mention that without those proper citations and his lack of a contribution history, "LGBT Jews" would appear to anyone as vandalism. Sweetness46 (talk) 23:20, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
