MEMO:

I have three main goals in my revisions of the "quenching" article. First, clean up confusing language in the introductory section of the paper. Second, remove extraneous/inappropriate sections. Lastly, expand the breadth and detail of the process, purpose/effect and history sections. The original article was extremely disjointed, and obviously written and edited over by several different people with differing end goals for it. It contained a confusing mix of basic, laymen terms explanations of the quenching process, and small portions of overly detailed technical information related to specific elements of the quenching process. Through my goals, I intend to create an article that can explain quenching and it's importance to a person with moderate to little engineering background, as well as include an accurate overview of the quenching process and it's effects on a materiel that could be useful to more technically inclined readers.
