Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your username, Olasky, resembles the name of Marvin Olasky, whose article you edited. If you are Marvin Olasky, please send an email to us (using the "Contact Wikipedia" link on the far left of the page) so that we know you are not an impersonator. We have a general policy of not allowing users to register the names of other living people.

If you are M. Olasky, and there are statements about you in any of our articles that you feel are incorrect, we will do our best to resolve them to your satisfaction. You can dispute the content on the discussion page of the article, by sending an email to Wikipedia using the "Contact Wikipedia" link, or by leaving a comment on my talk page (User talk:CBM). You should be sure to read our conflict of interest policy as well. — Carl (CBM · talk) 12:54, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It would be helpful if you could send a short email using the "Contact Wikipedia" link to verify your identity. We have had problems with impersonators, as I am sure you can believe, and so having an email from the person helps to clarify things. If there is anything else I can do to help, please feel free to contact me again on my talk page. — Carl (CBM · talk) 23:50, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page signatures

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Jeremyb 18:42, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
