Usage stats

[edit]

Hi, I see that you've updated the usage stats on several station articles between Marylebone and Birmingham; I'd like to do some other lines, so what source are you using? According to {{Infobox GB station/doc}} there is a spreadsheet at Spreadsheet 2008/9 but that comes back zero length, as does the 2007-08 one. The older three work though. --Redrose64 (talk) 13:37, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See here. "Station usage Excel sheet (2008-2009)".
I'll be updating some more lines in the south east soon- lines out of Euston and Paddington first. Oliver Fury, Esq. message • contributions 14:33, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stop reverting my edits

[edit]

Albeit I had been angry and wrote down angry comments, but I'd like to change it to (I concede, it isn't that important), as you can see we have been arguing over the past several days. I in my haste wrote unnecesary edits but the comment I am changing it to is not wrong please stop reverting it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.6.127.233 (talkcontribs) 12:47, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to clarify that his person has indeed died, but the newspapers have been slow to pick it up because it most likely has not been released beyond family members. I am one of his grandsons. One other person, who is a part of his second wife's family attempted some edits as an unregistered user. I'm watching news sources closely for any signs of an announcement, but have yet not seen any. Davidpdx (talk) 05:29, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry if I caused any offence. When anonymous IP addresses edit an article to say someone is dead without references as evidence, 99% of the time those edits are vandalism. Of course sometimes those edits are genuine, as was the one in question. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you. Oliver Fury, Esq. message • contributions 15:45, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A4 Road review and help

[edit]

Thanks for your notes and help. My first thought was that essay-like was a little harsh, but having checked the wiki manual, I can see where you were coming from. As for the links, I was about to go back in and amend, but you were so quick of the mark. I have already started to adjust some of my phrasing, but this may take me a bit longer to complete. Thanks again for your support.Rimmer1993 (talk) 20:10, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have made a start at reactivating WikiProject Buckinghamshire after a short break. I am in the process of working on the front page at User:Roleplayer/Sandbox to make it more attractive and easier to navigate. My aim is to make the project a reference point for editors creating or working on Buckinghamshire-related articles.

A couple of days ago I moved anyone who hadn't edited the project in a while from the current members list to an inactive members list, and this includes you. If you are still interested in the project, or are still regularly updating Buckinghamshire articles then please move your name back to the current list (remembering to keep entries in alphabetic order). If you are no longer interested in this project, then you needn't do anything further.

Cheers!

Non-free rationale for File:Masterplan scenario b small.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Masterplan scenario b small.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Orphaned non-free image File:Lord percy.jpeg

[edit]
⚠
Thanks for uploading File:Lord percy.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:21, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:King's Cross St. Pancras navbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. — lfdder 18:22, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
