Welcome![edit]

Hello, Olympuspdx, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Autocoding, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Fiddle Faddle 10:09, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Autocoding has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While presumably a notable topic, this article fails to assert the notability and to verify it in reliable sources. This means it is presented as original research and thus may not remain here. Correcting those issues, may not ensure that it remains but will increase the probability the better it gets.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi, I'm just doing the referencing now

Your first article[edit]

I saw your plea. Please be unconcerned that the article has been 'proposed for deletion', and do not take it personally. As you can see, once the references are in place, you can delete toe PROD template. And you have loads of time, relatively speaking.

The best advice I have for you is some reading. Read this essay and the places it leads. Feel free to ask me questions once you have :) Fiddle Faddle 10:37, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You're most definitely on the right lines. I no longer have any concerns about that article. Others think differently, so always be prepared for other people to disagree.
I have a suggestion for your second article. Develop it in your own userspace until it is ready for being allowed out on its own, and then move it into the main article space. That will prevent the criticism that I made of this one, initially.
Do get to grips with the WP:CITE mechanism and the tools which make it easy for you. Fiddle Faddle 10:49, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Is there anything else I can help you with? Don't hesitate to ask me (use my talk page to ensure I see your request) or as anyone else you feel comfortable with asking. Fiddle Faddle 13:13, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Think im getting to grips with it a bit better now, will give you a shout if i run into troubleOlympuspdx (talk) 14:10, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Every new editor hits similar issues. Be wholly unconcerned and enjoy editing here. It can be an awkward 'place' but also good discipline and weird fun. Fiddle Faddle 14:29, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
