Sure! The main thing to keep in mind is WP:Manual of Style which will outline it all. Mostly it's like your lead paragraph needs to be shortened. There are also guides for your blockquotes and bullet lists.--v/r - TP 04:55, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Need Blocking of IP Addresses

[edit]

None of those IP addresses have done anything that warrants a block. Almost always, they would be warned first (and usually more than once, at that). I have the article on my watchlist, though, so I'll keep an eye on it. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 04:28, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Saeed Aby.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Saeed Aby.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:27, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Aden1860.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:21, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The file File:Aden1860.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Inferior to File:Aden gulf 1860.jpg and File:GulfOfAden1860.jpg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 19:00, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
