Your GDP revision in Wikipedia 25 November 2015[edit]

OmniNed I updated the GDP wiki pages some time ago to replace a wrong definition of GDP, replacing it with the OECD / World Bank definition. I wonder why you think your new definition is superior to the OECD? Is there a citation for your new definition? Is it identical to the OECD definition? Why does it not specify 'resident production units (the main meaning of the GDP in GDP which distinguishes it from GNP) I also think the opening paragraphs should be for non-economists and should clearly and quickly address the principal misconception about GDP which is that it is a 'top-line revenue' total (as you say GO is, a useful addition to the article). With an example. Regards, Hugh Small Hugh Small 22:43, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on NewEdge Wealth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Storchy,
I am fairly new to this and I would like some more-detailed feedback so that I can improve my edits in the future.
First of all, I realized only afterwards that I forgot to include the code in the first line to mark the page I did for NewEdge Wealth. LLC as a draft, and that the article was published as it was. I was planning on working on the draft, and I indented to add more information and additional references. Lesson learned.
Additionally, please let me know what makes the text I used seem as "unambiguous advertising". I thought that it was relatively factual.
Actually, I found another article (Newedge Group) that seems quite similar in form and tone to what I wrote, yet, this page has not been deleted and is available on Wikipedia.
If you get chance, please provide some feedback, so that I can do a better job in the future.
Also, is there away to access the deleted page that I wrote, so that I can see it for a reference for improving?
Thanks a lot. OmniNed (talk) 23:22, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
