Information icon Hello, OnTVinc. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Laura Wasser, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). December 2020[edit]

Information icon Hi OnTVinc! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Laura Wasser that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 23:48, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - thank you very much for the notes. please let me know which edit should be labeled as something other than a minor edit. none of the edits made are in dispute and all can be verified and fact checked. going forward, I will be more precise. the purpose of all the changes are simple updates to Ms. Wasser's biography, current clients and projects. please let me know if there is anything you'd like explained in more detail or changed. thanks and happy new year! Hi, for example [1] is not just a "Fixed typo". Please see Help:Minor_edit#What_not_to_mark_as_minor_changes, as adding any kind of new content is not a minor change, even if fact checked. Thank you. Also, please avoid adding such external links in the main text - they should be either references or go at the end as per WP:EL. -Kj cheetham (talk) 12:22, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OnTVinc, can you please clarify whether you have a connection with Ms Wasser that is leading you to make these updates? Thank you. Melcous (talk) 00:32, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Melcous and Kj cheetham: when I read this edit summary, I get the impression that OnTVinc is working in concert with the article subject: "updated Ms. Wasser's bio to reflect her new podcast and her online divorce service. She also requested that the clients be removed from the first paragraph.)" So this editor definitely has a WP:COI and should comply with that policy.
