Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Use of article talk pages

[edit]

Talk pages are there to discuss the article, never the subject of the article. Discussion should be about issues dealing with our policies and guidelines, not silly comments or your personal feelings about sources. Doug Weller talk 07:01, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. So where can I discuss the topic then? Onlyloss6973 (talk) 07:06, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nowhere on Wikipedia. Jeppiz (talk) 11:18, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well that explains a lot lol Onlyloss6973 (talk) 13:09, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Noah's Ark. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 19:26, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What was offensive? Pathetic is offensive nowadays wow Onlyloss6973 (talk) 19:35, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You were warned, then wrote "How can I convince someone who is insanely biased". Doug Weller talk 08:10, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other editors. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Even after Doug Weller's warning, you have made several more talk page comments about other users. You do not have to like Wikipedia's rules but you (like everyone else) need to follow them. Jeppiz (talk) 20:15, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Attacking where? Can you give me the specific paragraph where I attacked this "editors" so I acknowledge my attacks? Onlyloss6973 (talk) 20:22, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This edit is 100% about another user. You were already told article talk pages aren't for general discussions of the topic. They are not for discussions about other users either, but exclusively for discussions about how to improve the article. You seem to mistake Wikipedia for a forum. WP is not the place for discussions, apart from policy based discussions about how to improve articles. Jeppiz (talk) 21:10, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
