Jcink.com[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jcink.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

We don't do "Coming soon" here. Or "Under construction" or "stay tuned". Create the article when you have content ready to put in it. I will warn you, however, that it looks very much as if that particular website does not seem to meet the standards at Wikipedia:Notability (web) and any article on it is very likely to be deleted anyway. Fan-1967 02:45, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove any other tags[edit]

.... when adding {{hangon}}. Also, it's a little hard, even with {{hangon}}, to dispute the fact that the article is currently empty of any meaningful content. Fan-1967 02:50, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing the tag[edit]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion notice(s)
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.

PLEASE READ THE NOTICE: -- Add the {{hangon}}. DO NOT DELETE other tags. Fan-1967 02:58, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Response to your note on my talk page about jcink.com[edit]

As you say, "if you would have read the talk section you would have seen that it was being made forthis weekend..." Right. I did. This weekend isn't here yet. Wikipedia has certain standards for the subjects of its articles. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (web) for the details of our standards concerning websites, or at least look at our guide to your first article. Basically, we do not accept promotion for new websites. There should be a Wikipedia article about your site when it has, not just content, but recognition from others. In fact, we discourage people from writing about their own websites because it is difficult to do so without bias. When your website becomes popular, someone other than you will write a Wikipedia article about it. In short, you should not try to write a Wikipedia article about jcink.com at the present time, and you should probably leave it for others in the future. Sorry, I assumed you were one of the owners of the website because you said "do i have to wait uuntil we have more content...." - I thought that "we" meant "the website owners." Okay, so the Conflict of interest stuff is not so relevant to you, but notability still is. I'm glad that the site has been helpful to you, but please wait until it gets more established and more popular before writing about it here. FreplySpang 23:48, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of User talk warnings[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, you will be blocked. Deranged bulbasaur 04:57, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Phpqa.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Phpqa.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:07, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Merci[edit]

For actually using the {{hangon}} tag. It's rather annoying when people just nuke the DB tags off an article. Kwsn(Ni!) 23:36, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
